Baby Goat With A Human Face Found In Southern Malaysia: Proof Of Urban Legend Goatsman?

A farmer in southern Malaysia came across a creature that appeared to be a baby goat with a human face. Is this proof of the urban legend goatsman?

The creature died shortly after birth and the farmer decided to send the baby goatsman to the Veterinary Services Department, The Sun reports.

There have been many offers made to the farmer, Ibrahim Basir, to purchase the carcass, but he refused. Instead, he gave the goatsman to the Veterinary Services Department so an investigation could be conducted on the strange-looking creature.

Jamaludin Abdul Samad, 50, one of the farm workers, initially told Ibrahim about the baby goat and how it had features of a human baby.

Ibrahim said that it was shocking to him to see a goat with human-like features and his first initial thought was that the mother stomped on it to give it a human-like face.

“When I went to check I was quite shocked but fascinated too as its face, nose, short legs and even the condition of its soft body seemed like that of a human baby, whereas the light brown fur covering its whole body resembles that of a goat. We kept the carcass in a polystyrene box filled with ice cubes before taking it to the district veterinary office at around noon yesterday.”

Ibrahim also mentioned that the baby goatsman did not have an umbilical cord attached.

Straits Times reveals that the investigation will take up to two weeks to determine if the baby goat is a goat-human hybrid or if there is another reason behind the odd-looking features.

The committee chairman of the Johor State Agriculture and Agro-based Industry, Ismail Mohamed, mentioned that should the creature be a human and goat offspring, they will be able to tell.

“For now we cannot confirm or deny anything as we have never received such a case before. We will have to wait for the results and findings to be finalized and that takes somewhere between two weeks and a month.”

It will be determined why the goat had human features and they will also investigate the possibility of the mother goat being violated by a human.

What kind of human features did the baby goat have? Firstly, it had a human-looking baby face with a small nose. Secondly the body was very soft like a human baby and the legs were quite short like a human infant.

The goatsman is a popular urban legend around the world, and recently a report was made where a woman was killed by a train while she, along with her husband, was checking out the Pope Lick trestle in Kentucky, which has been known for sightings of a goatsman that they call the Pope Lick Monster.

The goatsman is said to either be a hybrid between a man and a goat or a farmer who practiced satanism and was reincarnated as a half goat, half man. According to Uproxx, the urban legend has been around since 1957 and the first sighting was in Maryland. Other sightings of the goatsman have been reported in Kentucky, Texas, and Wisconsin.

However, unlikely it may be that the goatsman is actually real, this chilling sight of a baby goat with a human face surely opens eyes to what really could turn an urban legend into a reality.
