‘Game Of Thrones’ Spoilers – Will Melisandre Save Jon Snow And Change Fans’ Minds About ‘The Red Woman’ In Season 6 Premiere?
There are a lot of questions that need answering when Game of Thrones airs the Season 6 premiere on Sunday night on HBO. One of the biggest questions that fans are hoping will be answered has to do with the fate of Jon Snow. There are a few theories floating around about how Snow could possibly survive the repeated stabbings that left him lifeless in the snow at the end of Season 5 and one of the most prevalent has to do with Melisandre.
The premiere of Season 6 is titled “The Red Woman,” and Melisandre is expected to play a huge role. With Stannis dead and nowhere to go except backward, there is a pretty good chance that Melisandre may come in contact with Jon Snow, who was last seen lying in the snow while fans wondered how he possibly could survive.
Considering that HBO announced that Jon Snow is dead even though the Season 5 finale left fans wondering about his fate, it’s already widely believed that he will be brought back to life. It’s just a matter of who does it and why. Some don’t believe that the person who does resurrect Jon Snow could be Melisandre, but right now the powerful witch has every reason to help Jon and gain a new powerful ally. Romper posed a question about whether Jon and Melisandre will get together during Season 6 and it looks like a plausible theory.
Melisandre has said in the past that Jon Snow is powerful and no one really knows just how powerful. There is something about his royal bloodline and the secrets regarding his background that need to be told on Game of Thrones. Melisandre just lost her most powerful ally and will have to work with someone in order to just stay safe.

There are a few people who can bring someone back from the dead in Game of Thrones and that includes witches and maesters. Just before Jon’s stabbing, his friend Sam told him that he wanted to go learn how to be a maester, giving fans hope that he might be the one to bring him back but the truth of it is, he hasn’t been trained yet and certainly doesn’t have the proper skills to pull it off.
At this point, fans of Game of Thrones tend to hate Melisandre. Carice van Houten, who plays “The Red Woman, ” told The Daily Record in a recent interview that fans are waiting for her to die. Carice even said that after Melisandre killed Shireen, people were leaving messages on Twitter, wondering when she was going to die. As an actor, she can take that two ways. Carice van Houten can either enjoy the fact that she’s doing an excellent job in her role or she can be upset about how unpopular her character is on the HBO hit. Carice even said in the interview that many fans have offered to change their minds about her but only if she’s involved in brining back their favorite character.

Vox believes that Melisandre will hook up with Jon at least in the sense of trying to take over, if not romantically as well. When the red woman was trying to see the future in the novel by George R.R. Martin, she said, “All I see is Snow.” It looks like, with Stannis out, this is her best option. Actually, it was probably the best option all along.
Here’s to hoping that Game of Thrones answers questions about whether Jon Snow is coming back and if Melisandre has anything to do with it. In order to find out, make sure to tune in to HBO at 9 p.m. on Sundays.
