Kate Middleton Pregnant: Report Claims Duchess Kate Expecting Twins, Will Give Birth Later This Year

Kate Middleton is reportedly pregnant with twins, with a new report claiming that the royal family will grow by two later this year.

With Princess Charlotte still just approaching her first birthday, a source told Life & Style that Duchess Kate would be adding two new babies very soon. The news came as quite a surprise to Kate and Prince William, the source added.

“Kate and William were totally shocked when they found out,” the insider said. “They couldn’t speak at first and both burst out laughing and crying.”

The source added that Kate Middleton and Prince William will “have their hands full” later this year when they have four kids, all under the age of three.

It is difficult to tell how much truth there is to the rumor that Kate Middleton is pregnant again. For months, rumors have indicated that she and William are adding to their family, with all the reports coming from anonymous sources allegedly close to the royal family. Most ended up being debunked.

And the rumor mill wasn’t even slowed by the birth of their second child. There were reports as early as August of last year — when Princess Charlotte was still a newborn — that Duchess Kate was planning to expand the family again.

Celeb Dirty Laundry noted that she was making plans for baby No. 3, but Prince William had his doubts.

“Prince William fears pregnancy complications and another round of post-partum depression. The Duke of Cambridge is hesitant when it comes to having a third baby with the Duchess, and might even be worried Kate’s rush to get pregnant again may be for the wrong reasons.”

If it’s true that Kate Middleton is pregnant with twins, her family may have had something to do with it. For months, reports have indicated that some members were putting pressure on Kate and William to have another baby. As The Hollywood Gossip reported last year, it was actually Kate’s mother who was the most persistent.

“That’s right, Kate’s mom – not any member of Prince William’s royal family – is the one urging the Duchess of Cambridge to keep crankin’ ’em out.

“Her first two pregnancies captivated the world, stimulated the British economy hard and generally made Kate and all things close to her look swell.

“Carole, meanwhile, is seen by many observers as the quiet orchestrator behind the scenes of Kate’s subtle but firm break from royal family tradition.”

But there are many who believe that Kate Middleton is through having children. In her first two pregnancies, the Duchess suffered from a condition commonly known as severe morning sickness, though it is much more serious than simple nausea. The condition caused her to lose weight and even required a short hospital stay where she was treated for dehydration. As a result, Duchess Kate was on bed rest for much of her second pregnancy and had to cancel many of her planned appearances.

The most recent report claimed that Kate Middleton has not been suffering from the illness this time around. She and Prince William recently took a tour of India and Bhutan, with pictures capturing Duchess Kate looking healthy and vibrant. The source told Life & Style that Kate actually handled the tour “like a champ.”

If Kate Middleton is pregnant with twins, then she and the rest of the royal family aren’t ready to discuss it yet. Duchess Kate has given no public indication that she’s pregnant, and the rest of her extended family remains tight-lipped as well.
