You don’t have to watch Game of Thrones for long to know that no one, absolutely no one, is off limits when it comes to being killed off. Just nine episodes into Season 1 of Game of Thrones , a main character, Ned Stark, is beheaded.
It’s shocking and brutal and just one of many times that a main character dies in a horrid manner. Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark on the HBO hit series, spoke to GQ recently and told them that every time she reads a script for a new episode of Game of Thrones , she’s afraid she’ll read that Sansa will be killed.
Gossip Cop reported on the GQ interview and quoted Sophie as saying, “Oh my God, I’m so terrified… It’s crazy. Almost every day we’re on set we’re like, ‘Who do you think is gonna go next? It’s almost like living in the Blair Witch Project .”
In fact, Turner shares, the death of a Game of Thrones character has become such a terrifying but common event that the cast has a tradition of going out for drinks every time someone is killed off. After five seasons of Game of Thrones, however, they don’t necessarily do this every time someone dies anymore.
“By now we’re so used to it. We used to have big things when other people died. But there’s so many people who die now, we’re like, ‘Can’t really afford it, man. We’ve been out every night.’”

As for spoilers for Season 6 of Game of Thrones , we’ve had a few that are related to Sansa Stark. Fortunately, none of them point to her death. But that doesn’t necessarily mean anything in Westeros.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr , one of the recently-released clips of the new season of Game of Thrones gives us some spoilers about where the show will pick up with Theon and Sansa. Take a look.
Hounds bark in the background as Theon and Sansa make their escape from Winterfell in conditions that are frigid even by Game of Thrones standards. The clip ends as they reach a rushing, icy stream. As can be seen in the leaked photo above, they get into that stream and endeavor to cross it together. Will they both survive the trek? This is certainly a situation in which a Game of Thrones death could occur.
Who knows what will happen to Sansa Stark or any of the other Game of Thrones characters in Season 6? We can guess, but Game of Thrones is a show known for giving us the unexpected. This is especially true in a season that is venturing into territory not explored yet by the books written by George R.R. Martin. Game of Thrones spoilers once provided by the books are non-existent this season. But Sophie Turner has previously spoken about what the new season holds for Sansa Stark, and she believes it’s her best one yet .

The new episodes of Game of Thrones are sure to include a plot full of intrigue and secrets for Sansa as she tries to flee the abusive Ramsay Bolton. She is the key to him consolidating his position in the North by producing an heir. Previous episodes of Game of Thrones have shown us what an evil, brutal character Ramsay is, apparently completely void of a conscience. Who knows what lengths he’ll go to in order to get Sansa back?
Rumor has it that this is the season Game of Thrones women will come into their own and step up and out for the people and places they love. It’s about time Sansa had some victories in her life. We’ll all be tuned into HBO this Sunday at 9 p.m. ET to see what happens next.
