Jennifer Aniston: Aniston Named ‘People’s’ 2016 ‘Most Beautiful Woman’
Jennifer Aniston is proving that true beauty knows no age. The 47-year-old Friends mega-star has been named People‘s 2016 “World’s Most Beautiful Woman.” Aniston, who took top honors in People‘s lauded annual award in 2004, has now won the distinction twice over the course of two decades.
Aniston admitted to CNN that these days she has to take special care to keep up appearances, stating the following.
“It’s funny, it’s a really quick transition from not a care and now all of a sudden, we’ve got to really be mindful of what we put inside our bodies… And how we sleep and take care of ourselves. You can get away with a lot in your 20s.”
Indeed, Aniston is noted for her staunch dedication to rigorous exercise and healthy nutritional choices. Aniston’s adherence to “The Zone Diet,” developed by noted biochemist and author Barry Sears, has served as a boon for Jen’s famous bod. The main tenet of Zone is a 40/30/30 ratio: meaning Aniston’s daily dietary intake consists of 40 percent carbohydrates (from fruits and vegetables), 30 percent protein (lean meats, such as fish and turkey), and 30 percent fats (olive oil, fish oil, avocados).
Concerning Jennifer Aniston’s tireless workout routine, the Golden Globe award winner told In Style Magazine the following.“I work out almost every day, at least five of six days a week. I do 40 minutes of cardio: spinning, running, the elliptical, or a combination of all three. Then I do Pilates one day a week, and I do yoga in addition to that, three days a week. I try to mix it up.”
When Aniston travels, her dogged love of fitness does as well, as Aniston reports to In Style, “I take 8lb weights with me whenever I’m staying in a hotel. It’s always good to do arm exercises when you’re watching television or talking on the phone. I also love to stretch before I go to bed, and usually throw in a couple of sit-ups.”
Clearly all the hard work has payed off in spades for the 2012 Hollywood Walk of Fame recipient. Over the course of Aniston’s 26-year acting career, the lovable starlet synonymous with her role as Rachel Green has amassed a plethora of awards as a thespian. In addition to her aforementioned Golden Globe Award, Aniston has also been the proud recipient of the 2015 Capri-Hollywood Film Festival Award for Cake, a duo of 2012 MTV Movie Awards from her role in Horrible Bosses, and a 1996 Screen Actors Guild Award for best ensemble cast, along with numerous other accolades.
