Janet Jackson Breaks Her Silence: She Doesn’t Have Cancer And She’s Not Pregnant, But…
Janet Jackson, a pop singer born into one of the most talented families in the world of music, recently broke her long-held silence on the series of postponed dates for her Unbreakable tour. After speculation of her being pregnant, fans can finally put all speculation aside, because the facts are in. According to People, it’s because Janet Jackson and her husband Wissam Al Mana were focusing on planning a family together.

“We’re in the second leg of the tour, and there actually has been a sudden change. I thought it was important that you be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family. So I’m going to have to delay the tour. Please, if you can try and understand it’s important that I do this now. I have to rest up, doctor’s orders. I have not forgotten about you. I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can.”
Jackson’s video tweet comes as bittersweet news for her fans because, despite the cancellations, at least she’s going to be alright. Rumors have abounded following news of her repeated cancellations, including rumors of the “Got ‘Til It’s Gone” singer having cancer. But she recently dismissed all those rumors and said she was given a clean bill of health according to Billboard.
Right now many fans are thankful that, while she might have kept them waiting, at least she’s going to be alright.
Janet Jackson recently appeared on stage after four months of hiatus. According to ENCA, Janet Jackson performed in Dubai earlier this month.

Jackson closed out the Dubai World Cup, which is known to many as the world’s most lucrative horse race. She performed her set with a troupe of dancers accompanying her on the stage while she performed a medley of songs including classics like her hit “Control” and some more recent jams like “All Nite (Don’t Stop).” The last most notable appearance of Janet Jackson in a big time sporting event was back in 2004 during the Super Bowl. This appearance hit legendary status due to the infamous moment onstage where she had her “wardrobe malfunction.”

She took extra caution this time around to make sure she wouldn’t have a wardrobe malfunction once again by wearing a full-length black jumpsuit with an oversized necklace.
Last year was a big year for Janet Jackson. It was the year where she released her first album ever since her brother, Michael Jackson, passed on. That album is Unbreakable.
Her last performance before the World Cup appearance was back in November 2015, in Japan. Then, shortly after Christmas, Janet Jackson made the surprising announcement that she would be delaying her North American tour due to her need for an urgent operation.
Janet Jackson’s next performance is currently scheduled for May 14 in Las Vegas, while the European dates are still postponed.
The performance in Dubai might not have been the only visit she’s had to the Gulf, because her husband, Al Mana, is a billionaire businessman from Qatar. Janet Jackson and Wissam Al Mana tied the knot in a private ceremony back in 2012.
Even Janet Jackson’s late brother had ties to the Middle East, as he took temporary residence in Bahrain thanks to an invitation from a prince just as he was trying to avoid the eye of the media following accusations of child molestation in 2005.
