Next ‘Jill & Jessa: Counting On’ Episode To Feature More Of Same From Duggar Family
On the next episode of Jill & Jessa: Counting On, TLC is going to take a break from trying to prove that female members of the Duggar family can do “guy stuff” like cleaning cars and using power tools. Instead, they’ll be enjoying a girls’ getaway that includes nail painting and the Duggar version of juicy gossip: intrusive questions about the unmarried girls’ love lives and not-so-subtle hints that one of them needs to find a guy ASAP.
Most episodes of Jill & Jessa: Counting On have been haunted by the adulterous ghost of Josh Duggar, and this Tuesday’s episode will be no different. According to the Duggar Family Blog, Anna will mention her MIA husband again while she and her female in-laws spend the weekend cooped up together in a log cabin. In one of the TLC’s previews for the upcoming episode, Anna informs Jana, Jessa, Jinger, and Joy-Anna that Josh will soon be returning home from the Christian recovery facility that he checked himself after admitting to cheating on his wife and being addicted to internet pornography.
As The Inquisitr previously reported, a source close to the Duggar family has revealed that Anna treated Josh Duggar like a “hero returning from war” when he came home a few weeks ago. There’s no word on whether Anna and Josh’s reunion will be shown on an upcoming episode of Jill & Jessa: Counting On, but Anna certainly has not been shy about talking about her troubled husband on the show.
There’s no mention of Josh Duggar in the Jill & Jessa: Counting On teaser clip that TLC recently shared, but, much like Anna’s many musings on how much life has changed for the Duggars in recent months, it might give viewers a sense of déjà vu. During last week’s episode, Anna and four of her female in-laws were shown video chatting with Jill Duggar, her husband, and baby Israel. The same group of girls will do the same thing during this week’s episode of Jill & Jessa: Counting On, but this time, they’ll be doing it from a log cabin in Branson, Missouri.
Judging from the log cabin decor in the video above, it looks like the girls are staying at the “romantic” Branson Bear Log Cabin in Branson Cedars Resort.
The video chatting scene won’t be the only one that might make viewers feel like they’re watching a rerun. Once again, Joy-Anna Duggar’s love life will be a topic of discussion. As Us Weekly reports, the Jill & Jessa: Counting On producers have already asked Joy-Anna Duggar if she could see herself entering a courtship anytime soon. She kept viewers guessing by responding with silence and a raised eyebrow.
During this week’s episode of Jill & Jessa: Counting On, Anna Duggar will act as the official relationship interrogator by quizzing the teen about what kind of man she wants to settle down with.
“What are you looking for in a guy?” Anna asks Joy-Anna in a preview clip that aired at the end of last week’s episode of Jill & Jessa: Counting On. Anna is painting baby Meredith’s nails when she decides that it would be fun to make her 18-year-old sister-in-law squirm.
Joy-Anna Duggar already answered this question during an interview with People. She told the magazine that she’s looking for another Jim Bob Duggar.
“I think we would want someone like our dad [Jim Bob] – someone who is a strong leader and who loves God and loves others more than himself,” Joy-Anna responded when asked what kind of man she and her sisters want to marry.
However, Joy-Anna Duggar doesn’t mention Jim Bob when Anna asks her the same question. Instead, she responds with a facial expression that seems to suggest that she has no interest in being in a relationship in the near future. It’s a lot like the one she made when the TLC producers asked her if she had her eye on a guy.
Even though Anna Duggar went through hell after getting married young, her experience with Josh Duggar obviously hasn’t changed her view that it’s best to rush to the altar.
“You could always be six months away from an engagement if you’re single and over 18,” Anna tells the TLC cameras.
Unfortunately for Joy-Anna, her brother’s wife isn’t the only member of the family trying to push her into a courtship for TLC to film.
“The blind dates are coming in three minutes,” Jessa Duggar tells Joy-Anna and her other unmarried sisters after they sit down for dinner at a Branson restaurant. However, she’s probably joking.
Jill & Jessa: Counting On‘s biggest supporting star, the Duggars’ new tree house, will be making an appearance again this week, but viewers will no longer have to watch members of the family struggle to “keep sweet” while they argue about what amenities the massive building should have. TLC has filled time by showing the planning and the building of the tree house all season long, and it will be finally be unveiled this Tuesday on Jill & Jessa: Counting On. One major difference from the upcoming episode of Counting On and the previous ones seems to be the absence of Sierra, the party planner. However, while she didn’t score an invite to the girls’ Branson trip, it’s possible that she was asked to plan a tree housewarming party for next week’s episode.
Do you think that Jill & Jessa: Counting On is getting too repetitive with its storylines?
