‘Kocktails With Khloe’ Cancelled: Khloe Kardashian Moves On From FYI, Caitlyn Jenner Struggles With ‘I Am Cait’

Fans of Keeping up with the Kardashians and Khloe Kardashian were definitely surprised when FYI decided to cancel Kocktails with Khloe last week. As the series had quite a following and brought in a significant number for the network, some cannot help but wonder about the reason for its cancellation.

According to Page Six, Khloe Kardashian was not used to being able to call the shots just like in KUWTK. Insiders claim that the reality star was having difficulty transitioning to a much smaller show like Kocktails with Khloe.

To make matters worse, the team would not often fight about their vision for the show.

“It was chaos. Nobody agreed with anybody else about what it should be or what direction it should be going.”

According to TMZ, Khloe Kardashian wanted to focus on her “other jobs” and lost interest in filming Kocktails with Khloe season 2. The FYI producers, on the other hand, could tell that the reality star had “checked out” on the show, and they were clearly unhappy about it.

In the end, FYI and Khloe Kardashian decided that the best move would be just to cancel Kocktails with Khloe. This is definitely unfortunate, especially for the network, since the talk show is drawing a lot of viewers for such a network like FYI.

Page Six reported that Kocktails with Khloe averaged 24 percent more viewers in comparison to a show in the same slot a year ago. The Kardashian talk show also has the most number of views in the channel’s history online.

On her official Twitter page, Khloe thanked fans for supporting Kocktails with Khloe. In spite of the show being cancelled, the reality star shared that she will continue to make time for their weekly chats. Could this mean that there will be a spin-off to Kocktails?

While the KUWTK star did not reveal what her future plans are post Kocktails with Khloe, she shared that fans will get to see more of her in the future.

“There are SO many exciting things coming up for me that I can’t wait to share with you… I’m not going anywhere ? Love you always! XO.”

The last episode of Kocktails with Khloe airs April 20, with guest stars Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, John Legend, and Chrissy Teigen.

Another Keeping Up with the Kardashians spin-off who is not doing so well is Caitlyn Jenner’s I am Cait. Unlike Kocktails with Khloe, Caitlyn’s show is not faring quite well in the ratings game. While some were definitely curious to know more about her and her transformation from Bruce to Caitlyn, it seems like some of the viewers were starting to lose interest. According to Radar Online, only 745,000 people saw the season 2 premiere, a huge drop from the first season, which drew in 2.73 million viewers.

Caitlyn is allegedly blaming ex-wife Kris Jenner for the impending cancellation of I am Cait. Instead of thinking ways on how to improve the show’s rating, the former Olympian was said to be blaming it all on Kris. She believed that the Kardashian matriarch sabotaged her show, as she was still holding a grudge for their failed marriage.

“Caitlyn seems to think that Kris is actually somehow doing something behind the scenes to affect the ratings. It looks like she is struggling to accept that she is not going to have the spotlight anymore and does not know what she is going to do once this is over.”

Do you think I am Cait should be cancelled after season 2? What are your thoughts about the early cancellation of Kocktails with Khloe? Sound off in the comments below.
