Chris Soules Has Found Love, Says He’s Skipping ‘Bachelor In Paradise’
Chris Soules has found paradise—and it has nothing to do with an ABC reality show. The former Bachelor star, who has been rumored to be a potential cast member for the upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise, says he will be spending the summer at home at his farm in Iowa and far, far away from the reality TV cameras.
While Chris Soules has long been on fans’ wish lists as a Bachelor in Paradise contestant, he took to Twitter to squash the rumors two months before the reality romp starts filming in what will surely be a tropical location. And Soules has a really good reason for not wanting to sign on the Bachelor spinoff: He has already found love, right in his hometown!
Chris posted that instead of going on dream dates with past Bachelor beauties, he’ll be focusing on his three true loves: Corn, soybeans, and pigs.
Despite rumors I will be foregoing the Bachelor in Paradise for my one true love of corn, soybeans and piggies.

Chris Soules definitely made the most of his Bachelor fame and extended his time in the spotlight way past 15 minutes. After appearing as a contestant on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season of The Bachelorette, Chris went on to headline The Bachelor and then became a contestant on Dancing with the Stars. But now Chris seems to be done with the reality TV life for good—or at least for now.

In an interview on Oprah: Where Are They Now?, Chris said he is grateful for all of the opportunities reality TV has given him, and he tries to use his fame for charitable events. In fact, on his official website, Chris writes that he hopes to become a spokesperson for the farming industry. But Prince Farming’s days of dating and dancing in front of the cameras are seemingly done.

While Chris Soules is definitely out for the upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise, a few familiar favorites are in. Last season’s Bachelor drama queen, Lace Morris, has already been announced as a constant on the spinoff dating show. In addition, host Chris Harrison told reporters he had a bit of a wish list for the upcoming season of Paradise.
According to Buddy TV, earlier this year, Chris Harrison told reporters he would love to see troublemaker Olivia Caridi on the show. In addition, Harrison picked identical twins Haley and Emily Ferguson as two people he would love to see sign on. Chris also said Jubilee Sharpe would “be great in Paradise.” In fact, the longtime ABC host feels like a lot of the next cast for the spin-off show could be pulled from Ben Higgins’s season of The Bachelor.

Meanwhile, entertainment site Wetpaint compiled a list of Bachelor in Paradise contenders, and Chris Soules was listed as a long shot. Still, the site did acknowledge there was a lot of buzz about Soules possibly joining the summertime show, which has been fueled by his multiple appearances at Bachelor Nation functions, including the wedding of franchise alums Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert and a recent appearance on a Bachelor after-show.

As for Chris Soules’s love life outside of the farm, even though his engagement to his final Bachelor pick Whitney Bischoff, didn’t work out, a summertime stint on Paradise could have landed him a wife. Just ask last season’s contestants Jade and Tanner, who signed on for a five-week reality show and ended up married a few months later.
