‘Fear The Walking Dead’ Season 2 Spoilers: Trouble On The High Seas
Fear the Walking Dead Season 2 premieres tonight on AMC in the wake of a Walking Dead finale that has left many fans angry. It will likely be a long time before we have a spoiler that answers the big question about the new season of The Walking Dead, and fans will stew until then. But in the meantime, the second season of Fear the Walking Dead is about to begin and the spoiler supply is high on this one, so viewers can get right back into their zombie habit. Let’s take a look at a few of them.
Although Season 2 of Fear the Walking Dead will begin in Strand’s mansion, most of the season will actually take place aboard Strand’s yacht, Abigail, according to a spoiler provided by International Business Times. Citizens of Los Angeles will be forced to leave the city as the military implements its Cobalt strategy which will destroy the city and everyone in it. Once the characters on Fear the Walking Dead reach Abigail, most of the remainder of the season will take place at sea.
Fear the Walking Dead producer Gale Ann Hurd explained that viewers have often suggested that the safest place during a zombie apocalypse would be on the water, and she shared a spoiler indicating that this season they will explore that idea. A few problems present themselves in this setting, problems that will make for a perspective that we haven’t seen in the Walking Dead franchise to this point.

When Fear the Walking Dead viewers think about survivors taking to the water in Season 2, one of the first questions they have is “Can zombies swim?” Well, executive producer Dave Erickson gave us a spoiler on this one – no, they can’t. They float. But judging by the clip below, they don’t die when they hit the water, so our Fear the Walking Dead friends won’t necessarily be escaping the zombie apocalypse by taking to a boat.

A second issue that will likely be faced in Season 2 of Fear the Walking Dead is the fact that at some point, they do have to go back on land in order to get food and water and other things they need in order to survive.
Which brings us to a third issue for Season 2 of Fear the Walking Dead, one for which we do have some spoilers. When everyone leaves the boat and goes on dry land, they will encounter not only zombies, but other people who are also trying to survive the zombie apocalypse. As we’ve seen in The Walking Dead, the apocalyptic world changes people in a big way, and not always for the better. In Season 2 of Fear the Walking Dead, we’ll see Madison, Travis, and the rest of the crew encounter new people, people they don’t know and will likely be reluctant to trust. Will we see someone like The Governor from The Walking Dead? Will they encounter different communities? We don’t know. But executive producer Greg Nicotero gave a spoiler when he said the following.
“They go to a couple of ports here and there… They’re going to deal with other people who have had the same idea of getting on a boat and going out into the ocean to survive.”
So what will be the biggest threat in Season 2 of Fear the Walking Dead? Colman Domingo, who plays Strand, answered that question for Entertainment Tonight with a one-word spoiler – “People.” Nice! So Madison and the rest of the crew may have bigger things to fear than zombies! Evil villains? Pirates on the sea? Conspirators among their own? Guess we’ll have to tune in and find out.
Fear the Walking Dead returns to AMC for Season 2 on April 10 at 9 p.m. ET.
