Taylor Swift, Calvin Harris ‘Awkward Chemistry’ At iHeartRadio Awards Hinting At Break-Up?

Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris may have attended the iHeartRadio Music Awards together over the weekend, but according to sources behind the scenes, the couple allegedly looked anything but happy being in each other’s presence.

According to Radar Online, their chemistry was beyond awkward, with one insider stressing that Harris looked bored and reportedly gave the impression he couldn’t wait to leave the building. Taylor Swift, on the other hand, was celebrating and cheering on all of the nominees who scooped an award, including herself.

“They did not look like a couple who is head-over-heels in love with each other. Maybe there was something else going on but it was just awkward,” the source tells the outlet, hinting that there may be trouble in paradise.

The couple has been dating for just over a year, which is also believed to be the longest relationship Taylor Swift has ever had with another celebrity, but if the cracks are already beginning to show, fans are wondering how long she’ll put up with Calvin before he’s history.

The insider then went on to explain how Calvin and Taylor were only ever showing some kind of PDA when the cameras were turned to them, alleging, “Calvin hardly touched her except for when the cameras were on them. All night, he looked totally bored, like he didn’t want to be there. I didn’t see him smile once!”

And if that wasn’t bad enough, Harris claims to have accidentally left out Taylor Swift’s name from his acceptance speech after having won the award for “Dance Artist Of The Year,” while the 26-year-old songstress had nothing but positive things to say about the DJ upon winning her award for “Best Tour.”

Social media fanatics have joked that with Swift gearing up to start recording new music material for her next album, she would need to dump Calvin Harris in order to get her thinking process going. Another user questioned with a similar tweet, asking how Swift can record another record when she claims to have been happily in love for the past year.

While the report is nothing more than an allegation, it has become a never-ending pattern of breakups for Taylor Swift, who hasn’t made the wisest decisions in the past — at least as far as men were concerned, which the singer openly admits to.

Just to know that her relationship with Calvin Harris has gone this long is an achievement in itself, particularly with Swift’s own friends, including Selena Gomez, having gushed on how much they would love to find themselves a man like the British-born hitmaker.

While several rumors of a potential engagement floated around the internet earlier this year, should it be true that Swift and Harris are beginning to fall out of love with one another, it is doubtful that they will ever make it down the aisle. But then again, the award show runs for over two hours — surely one is to grow tired of the acceptance speeches after a while, right?
