‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Nathan Spills On His Marriage To Claudette, Maxie Comes Unglued — Dishonesty A Deal Breaker?
Maxie (Kirsten Storms) and Nathan (Ryan Paevey) have quite the following from General Hospital fans. Their relationship has been complicated, though they have been able to overcome much of what has been handed to them. Maxie is quirky and fun, while Nathan is serious and kind. They balance each other out, and that is what makes them so good together. After Nathan was shot, Maxie rushed to his side and stayed with him at the hospital. When he spoke Claudette’s name while asleep, things began to get messy between the two. Lie after lie was told, and Maxie began questioning it all.
While initially Maxie decided that Nathan didn’t need to explain, it appears they will be discussing things during the upcoming week on General Hospital. According to We Love Soaps, Maxie and Nathan are talking about Claudette. He is apparently coming clean with her, explaining that they were married. Nathan is insisting it was a green card issue, but Maxie doesn’t seem to be buying it. She has been in a similar situation with Levi, and wants to forget all about that. Because Nathan initially lied to her about Claudette, could Maxie just give up and walk away?
Fans are disappointed at the curve ball thrown into Maxie and Nathan’s relationship. Up until recently, they have been a good pair. Their official dating status began earlier this year, but they have been developing feelings for each other over several months. Maxie needs someone like Nathan to keep her grounded, but she may not be willing to forgive and move on from this. Claudette seems to be more than a memory and if Nathan can’t forget about her, why should Maxie continue to stick around? There will likely be plenty of talk about this situation, especially between Maxie and Lulu (Emme Rylan). Nathan has confided in Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) as well, but he doesn’t know the full extent, and likely will be shocked when he finds out the truth.
There is going to be plenty of relationship stuff happening on General Hospital this week. Nikolas (Tyler Christopher) and Hayden (Rebecca Budig) will be hashing things out, while Jason (Billy Miller) and Sam (Kelly Monaco) make progress. Nathan and Maxie are headed down a slippery slope, and fans are hoping the writers will save them before it is too late. According to a sneak peek from ABC, Nathan and Maxie are discussing Claudette in an outdoor setting. It is clear that Maxie is upset with what is being said. While Nathan is keeping his calm, you can tell it is killing him to be honest with Maxie because of the possibility of losing her.
It is likely that this story line between Maxie and Nathan will be played out through the next several weeks, possibly even through May sweeps. General Hospital writers know that the fans love their couples, and will continue to watch when they are airing stories involving their favorites. Speculation is that Maxie will forgive Nathan and move on, but will not fully trust him. It will eat away at her, and eventually the two will split. With what happened between Dante and Lulu, Maxie is more suspicious then ever.
The entire story has yet to be told, though Maxie and Nathan are certainly working on getting to the bottom of it. Fans are still in the dark about how everything went down, but the small details they do have look suspicious. After all Maxie has been through with men in her life, Nathan is the one who will break her heart the hardest. There is still hope that the couple will hang on to one another, but it is unclear if that is the way the General Hospital writers want it to go.
