Ben Higgins And Lauren Bushnell Breakup: ‘Bachelor’ Couple Reportedly Delaying Wedding Plans As Lauren Struggles With Jealousy

Lauren Bushnell and Ben Higgins could be headed for a breakup as reports emerge that the Bachelor couple is falling onto hard times and possibly even putting off their wedding.

The couple got engaged on national television last month as the conclusion of The Bachelor, but have already been plagued by rumors of difficulties stemming from Ben’s lingering feelings for the show’s runner-up, JoJo Fletcher. Ben was smitten with both women and even told Fletcher that he loved her, though he ultimately decided to offer an engagement ring to Lauren Bushnell instead.

Now Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell could be headed for a breakup over Ben’s feelings for JoJo. This week Life & Style magazine reported that Lauren has had a very difficult time coming to terms with Ben’s relationship with the Bachelor runner-up.

“Lauren tries not to think about it, but she’s traumatized that Ben told another girl he loved her. And, to add insult to injury – Ben is still talking to his college girlfriend too! As if Lauren isn’t already scarred by Ben’s love for Jojo, she has to worry about his love for his ex-girlfriend too.

“Life & Style goes on to say that Lauren is moving to Denver to live with Bachelor Ben Higgins, but their relationship is already on the rocks. At this point, living under the same roof might hurt the troubled couple more than it will help them. A wedding date seems less likely than a break up.”

There could be other problems for the Bachelor couple. A separate report claimed that Ben had concerns over Lauren’s hard-partying past, which included hard drinking with her ex-boyfriend, Sean Evans.

It even led to an arrest for public intoxication last year at a music festival in California.

“It was embarrassing to be around her when she was drunk because she’d turn into a mess,” an insider told OK! Magazine. “She’d have these drunken crying fits in public places — she’s way too emotional.”

But while there are widespread rumors of a breakup for Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell, other reports claim that they are moving steadily toward marriage. The couple appeared quite happy when making the interview circuit following the show’s finale, and Lauren even said that she would be moving from her home in California to live with Ben in Denver.

“I’m just excited to go grocery shopping together,” Lauren Bushnell told People magazine about moving in with Ben Higgins.

At the time, Lauren said she and Ben planned to get married sooner rather than later.

“Neither of us want a long engagement,” she told People. “I’ve never been the girl to dream about her wedding, but now I’m starting to think about it.”

But Ben said he and Lauren were ready to step away from the spotlight for a bit, letting their relationship grow away from the public eye.

“The spotlight is not a desire of mine, right?” Higgins told the Associated Press, via Us Weekly. “If it happens, it happens and that’s great and grand and whatever you want to call it. Opportunities? Yeah. I have a great job right now and Lauren has a great job. It’s been fun for us.”
