‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 6 Premiere Spoilers: Sansa & Theon Rebel
Game of Thrones Season 6 is only weeks away, and spoilers for the upcoming episodes have been scarce. Thankfully, actor Alfie Allen, who plays Theon Greyjoy on the hit HBO series, is spilling some details about what’s in store for him and Sansa Stark when the show returns.
The last time Game of Thrones viewers saw Theon and Sansa, they were basically being held as prisoners in Winterfell by Ramsey Bolton, the man Little Finger decided to give Sansa’s hand in marriage to. Ramsay, as fans know, is a sadistic character who seems to enjoy the pain and suffering of others, especially Theon, whom he’s completely broken and likes to call “Reek.”
However, in the Game of Thrones Season 5 finale, fans finally saw Theon take a stand and look at Sansa with love and concern. The two jumped off the tower in Winterfell to make their escape from Ramsay, and that is where we’ll find them when Season 6 premieres in April.
According to the website Winter is Coming, Alfie Allen has revealed that Theon and Sansa are making a run for it to leave Winterfell and Ramsey Bolton behind. Unfortunately, Ramsay isn’t the kind of man who lets his prized possessions go without a fight and will likely send men after his wife and servant.
“At the beginning of [season] six, you find him running through snowy, freezing forests leading the way with Sansa. They’ve just jumped off the wall of Winterfell and now they’re on the run from Ramsay.”
The Game of Thrones star then reveals that Theon and Sansa will come to a river and that the oldest Stark daughter will be too scared to get into the water. Theon will get in and try to help her even though photos of the scene seem to suggest otherwise.
“We’re running through and we come to a river and Sansa is just too scared basically to get into the river. So I get in. Don’t believe the press shots! It looks like she’s trying to get me out of the river, when I’m actually trying to be the strong one and get her in the river. Makes me look weak.”
The site then goes on to reveal that Ramsay’s men will seemingly catch up to Theon and Sansa and that Theon will sacrifice himself to try and help Miss Stark get away, which will lead to the entrance of two more fan-favorite Game of Thrones characters, Brienne and Podrick.
“In fact he doesn’t lead them away, because they see Sansa anyway and then Gwendoline Christie turns up as Brienne of Tarth and smashes everyone to s–t. Dan Portman’s there — Pod — and then Pod ends up having a fight with this guy and then Theon stabs the guy in the back with the sword. He kills someone for the first time in ages, which must be a gratifying experience,” Allen explained.
For fans who think this could be a new group forming on Game of Thrones, think again. The site claims that Sansa, Theon, Brienne, and Pod will all be in very different places by the time that Season 6 ends.
The report claims that Sansa Stark will actually be back in her home at Winterfell with the resurrected Jon Snow at her side, and Theon Greyjoy will return to the Iron Islands. Meanwhile, Brienne and Pod will head South to River Run to reunite with Sir Jaime Lannister, possibly helping him devise a plan which could help Cersei? It’s unclear for now, but it does seem that Sansa and Theon will escape the clutches of Ramsay Bolton, at least for now.
