Kylie Jenner Lipstick Relaunch Breaks Google Analytics, Company Couldn’t Handle Her Traffic Flow

Kylie Jenner’s lipstick kit is the hot topic in lip wear. Every week, Kylie sells out of product and has to relaunch. Well, this one broke Google Analytics. And here’s why.

Via Snapchat, Kylie Jenner gave her followers a heads-up about her lipstick relaunch. There were only 10 minutes to go before Kylie allowed the public inside.

Shortly after Kylie Jenner’s lipstick launch, the site started experiencing technical difficulties.

Apparently, there were far too many people on Kylie’s site at once. So, as mentioned via Kylie Jenner’s Snapchat, there were over 200,000 people on the site, even while it was down.

During the down time, Kylie Jenner asked her fans not to be mad at her. The circumstance was surely out of her control. All she could do was wait on her web host to fix the situation. However, while Kylie waited, even Google — a corporation whose sole business is web traffic — couldn’t handle the amount of people flooding Kylie Jenner’s lipstick kit website.

As can be seen from Kylie’s Snapchat videos, even she was stunned by the amount of traffic and the complications thereafter. She asked, “I broke Google?”

The thing is that Kylie Jenner has grown up in the age of social media. And, with her expertise in the field, Kylie excels at communicating with her followers. With millions of followers on Instagram alone, Jenner is used to every post receiving thousands of likes within seconds after posting. So, when she mentions the relaunch of her lipstick kits, the buzz is real.

According to Kylie’s Snapchat, she stated that she shared news about the lipstick restock via Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat. So, Kylie Jenner experienced the results of her endeavors as 200,000 active users. This means that, at any given time, the aforementioned number of people remain constant on the website.

While Kylie Jenner’s website overloaded, people were still able to get through after refreshing their browsers repetitively. Those who were able to access Kylie’s site bought the lipstick kits until they were out of stock. Kylie began the sale at 4 p.m. However, they were completely sold out within 16 minutes.

According to Kylie Cosmetics, the young beauty mogul stated as follows.

“I’m so sorry if this caused any inconvenience for anybody trying to get my kit! There was so many people the whole back end of the website crashed. It’s not my fault but if it were up to me I’d want it to be as easy as possible for everyone. You guys have been so amazing to me and I promise I will be back almost every week!!! For everyone who got through thank you and congrats. I love you guys so much ?? check my snapchat for more info -Kylie.”

Likewise, Kylie Jenner stated that she’ll have more products to restock next week — moreover, they’ll continue restocking the lipstick kits “almost” weekly.

Kylie Jenner’s lipstick kits have been incredibly popular. Do you think its limit selection makes the buyer experience easier for customers? In a previous Inquisitr article, Kylie’s business ideology seems similar to California’s In-N-Out Burger.

When people go to the burger restaurant, they already know what they want, and there isn’t a 50-product menu to distract the customers once they’re at the drive-thru, right? You either get a burger or a cheeseburger. Sure, there’s a secret menu that allows you to add special ingredients of your choice. However, all in all, you’re still presented with a minimal selection.

It’s similar with Kylie Jenner’s lipstick kits. As it stands, Kylie only has eight lipstick shades from which to choose. That’s just enough to keep Kylie’s followers and fans satisfied and diversified.

So, for instance, pretend that Kylie Jenner had 200,000 lipstick kits available at the relaunch. Each of Kylie’s kits sells for $29. So, at minimum — given this scenario — Jenner grosses $5.8 million with each launch. And, according to Kylie Jenner’s Snapchat, she restocks at least twice a month.

What do you think about Kylie Jenner’s lipstick kits? Do you think her marketing strategy will last? Will Kylie Jenner surpass her sister, Kim Kardashian, as the family business mogul? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below.
