Alex Rodriguez Spotted With Billionaire Girlfriend Anne Wojcicki: You Won’t Believe What People Are Saying

According to TMZ, Yankees player Alex Rodriguez was spotted with his new billionaire girlfriend over the weekend, and everyone has an opinion on the new couple. According to multiple reports, Rodriguez is seeing Google’s co-founder Sergey Brin’s ex-wife Anne Wojcicki.

The two were spotted and photographed enjoying a late lunch on Sunday at the Green Lemon, a Mexican restaurant, located in Tampa, Florida. Currently, A-Rod is in Tampa for the Yankees spring training.

As the couple enjoyed their Mexican food, they held hands and looked very lovey-dovey.

Sources told People that the relationship was still “new” despite the two looking very comfortable and happy with each other.

So who is Anne Wojcicki? Aside from being ex-wife to Google’s co-founder Brin, she has power of her own. Wojcicki is the CEO of 23andMe, and Fortune Magazine cites that she is one of the most powerful CEOs in Silicone Valley. As the chief executive, 23andMe is described as “a personal genomics company.”

If that’s not enough to be impressed by, Alex Rodriguez’ new love has a degree in Biology from Yale and completed research at the National Institutes of Health and the University of California, San Diego.

Despite all of Anne’s accomplishments, some people have decided to focus on her looks. Seeing as A-Rod is known for his model looks (and occasional bad boy ways), some people don’t think they’re on the same level in terms of aesthetics.

One commented on TMZ, “Still true…you’re either rich or pretty. Never both.”

Another added to the conversation, “Don’t get me wrong I did Google some of her better pics and damm [sic] it I still don’t get it…. she probably hired him for a year… that one year he took off baseball he needs that money.”

Others took to Twitter to express their opinion on Alex’s new love.

Page Six reported that this isn’t the only time Alex and Anne have been spotted together. According to the report, the two lovebirds have been spotted out and about at one high-profile event — the Super Bowl. Additionally, the two were seen out at a steak house in Tampa. As for what Rodriguez sees in Wojcicki, it sounds like a no-brainer, as sources said that he finds her “interesting, inspirational, and very smart.”

This isn’t the only thing Alex is changing. As the Inquisitr reported, Rodriguez announced his retirement from MLB after his 2017 season with the Yankees is up. In a statement, he said that when his $275 million dollar contract with the Yankees expires, he won’t continue on with the sport.

“I won’t play after next year. I’ve really enjoyed my time. For me, it is time for me to go home and be Dad.”

Rodriguez has been seen as a disappointment to the Yankees, as he was picked at a time where the Yankees were in a rut, but underperformed. Fans’ frustrations were only exacerbated when it was revealed that he used performance-enhancing drugs.

In 2009, he admitted to using drugs to up his game, telling ESPN, “Back then, [baseball] was a different culture. It was very loose. I was young. I was stupid. I was naïve. And I wanted to prove to everyone that it as worth being one of the greatest players of all time.”

He continued, “I did take a banned substance. And for that, I am very sorry and deeply regretful.”
