Al Sharpton Secretly Endorsing Donald Trump? Silence, Previous Ties To Trump Raises Speculation On Social Media

Is Reverend Al Sharpton secretly endorsing Donald Trump? That’s the question circulating on social media since Al Sharpton has been unusually silent throughout the presidential race, even though Donald Trump’s rallies have sparked controversy all over the United States.

With the fights at Trump’s rallies, allegations of inciting riots, and the rumored removal of black protesters, Al Sharpton has remained silent about these matters. Now, social media users have become suspicious about where Al Sharpton’s loyalty lies since they have a relatively contradictory history, according to IJReview.

By now, most Americans know Donald Trump has been categorized as someone who does not have the best interest of minorities in mind. Then, to make matters worse, his refusal to disavow endorsements from David Duke and the KKK have also led many people to believe he is, indeed, a racist bigot who absolutely loathes pro-black organizations like Black Lives Matter.

So, wouldn’t it seem befitting for civil rights activists like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson to step up to the plate and raise awareness about the importance of the minority vote to ensure Trump never makes it to the White House? In times of unrest and racial confusion, Al Sharpton is normally one of the first public figures to speak on behalf of minorities, but not this time.

Is it because Sharpton is endorsing Donald Trump? There are number of factors about their previous ties that have inspired numerous, speculative memes on social media. Republican social media communities also speculate about Al Sharpton secretly endorsing Donald Trump. Here are some of the social media posts about Al Sharpton and Donald Trump’s ties:

Although Al Sharpton suggested that he’d never support Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, his previous ties with the GOP front-runner raises concerns for many Americans who are paying close attention to the race. Previous reports also suggests he has mixed opinions about Trump. Last month, the civil rights activist made headlines because he claimed he’d be purchasing a one-way ticket out of America, according to the Huffington Post.

“If Donald Trump is the nominee… I’m also reserving my ticket to get out of here if he wins. Only because he’d probably have me deported anyhow,” Sharpton said in February, breaking his silence on the endorsement of a Democratic candidate. Back in July of 2015, Al Sharpton offered a visual breakdown to present arguments about the possibility of Donald Trump being a “secret Democrat,” according to MSNBC.

From his perspective of certain political topics, to his personal relationships with the likes of former president Bill Clinton and his wife, Democratic presidential hopeful, Hillary Clinton, Al Sharpton cited a number of reasons why Trump could be categorized as a Democrat. If Al Sharpton’s previous comments are true and Donald Trump’s previous statements actually coincide with his core beliefs, it would offer an explanation for his silence.

Here’s the clip of his arguments:

As previously reported on Inquisitr, Al Sharpton also refuted claims about Donald Trump being a bigot. During an interview with Politico, Rev. Sharpton actually defended Trump when asked about the GOP frontrunner’s highly controversial comments Mexicans and immigrants. He even referred to him as the white version of Don King.

“I think what he has said has been biased and bigoted, but I don’t know if Donald Trump is really a bigoted guy.”

Al Sharpton also believes Trump will “energize” minority voters. Back in 2012, Sharpton also claimed Trump would probably appeal to minority voters if they could get past the controversial issues that he’s reportedly inherited as a result of his father’s beliefs.

JESSE JACKSON AND AL SHARPTON HAVE SAID “VERY LITTLE” TO SAY ABOUT DONALD TRUMP…HMMMMMMM….

“When I was touring Florida and Ohio on election day, people [were] telling me, ‘Reverend, I’m going to stand in line if I have to stand here all night because I will not let them take my vote.’ People were angry about people trying to take their right to vote,” Sharpton said. “If the Democrats handle Trump’s birther stuff [and the KKK controversy well], people would not only stand in line all night, they would come the night before and spend the night.”

However, Al Sharpton has still refused to reveal who he’s endorsing for president. Do you think Al Sharpton could be endorsing Donald Trump? Share your thoughts.
