Demi Lovato Reveals She Almost Ran Over Paul McCartney
Demi Lovato is retelling the scary story of how she almost ran over music legend Paul McCartney with her car.
Lovato revealed in a recent live chat with Nick Jonas that she once came a little too close to almost knocking down the former Beatle while attempting to park her car in Los Angeles.
“I almost hit him with my car,” Lovato told Jonas of her encounter with McCartney during Demi and Nick’s live stream session on March 16, where Lovato confessed that she didn’t even know at the time that her altercation involved one of the most famous musicians in the world.
“I didn’t know it was him, and it wasn’t intentional anyway, but it was the last parking spot,” Demi Lovato said, admitting that the incident happened while she was trying to park her car at Centre Staging, a rehearsal venue in California.
“You know there’s nowhere to park and there was an open spot… and then he had his back turned and he was standing in the only open spot,” Lovato continued of her Paul McCartney mishap, revealing that she thought it would be a good idea to slowly drive into the parking space in the hopes that he would move.
“I was like ‘Maybe if I just inch up he’ll get the hint,'” Demi recalled, adding that McCartney did eventually turn around and reveal his identity.
“He turns around and was like, ‘Oh, sorry!'” Demi told Nick. “I was like ‘Oh, s***! I almost just ran over a Beatle!'”
“That would’ve been bad. The world would’ve been really mad at you,” Jonas then joked, revealing that Paul McCartney is actually his favorite artist he’s ever seen live.
Demi previously revealed that she almost knocked down Paul on Twitter back in 2012, where she first recalled the run-in.
“So…. today I was pulling into a parking space that some guys were standing in the middle of, and almost hit them,” Lovato wrote. “When one of the guys turned around…. it was a BEATLE…….. Yes, YOU HEARD ME…. SIR PAUL McCARTNEY!!”

But while Demi Lovato, fortunately, didn’t knock down Paul McCartney, she and Nick Jonas did recently spend some time in the hospital, where the talented musical duo surprised a number of young fans.
According to Entertainment Tonight, Lovato and Jonas both visited the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles together earlier this week, where they spent some time with a number of young fans who are battling life-threatening illnesses.
The site revealed that Nick and Demi even put their vocals on display during their visit to the Children’s hospital by surprising a young cancer patient and celebrating his bone marrow birthday with a song.

Entertainment Tonight is reporting that Lovato and Jonas visited 5-year-old Aiden, who is bravely fighting cancer at the California hospital, during their hospital stint. Demi and Nick sang and showed off signs to celebrate the anniversary of the youngster getting a bone marrow transplant.
Demi and Nick’s sweet gesture for their young fan comes just days after Demi tweeted out that she was celebrating a big milestone of her own. Lovato took to Twitter on March 13 to tell her more than 34 million followers that she was celebrating four years of sobriety.
“I can’t believe I have 4 years on Tuesday. Anything is possible,” Lovato told her millions of followers this week on the social media site.
“Most people die but others just go.. She’s still out there and the chasm grows. Steady are the feet in the morning glow,” Demi wrote in another tweet, adding, “This last year I experienced so much life and too much death… But I made it through… Sober,” alongside the hashtags “#4Years” and “#GodsWill.”
