Jordan Alexander is known across the Internet for being a party pooper.
Known as “ Angry Splash Mountain Lady ,” the Syracuse woman’s face has become a poster child for ticked off wives everywhere. The picture is hilarious; amid six other joyous riders, one woman stands out. She’s seated in the middle, has her arms crossed, and is flashing a death stare right at the camera.
The woman wasn’t displeased with the ride; in fact, it’s her favorite. In truth, her angry photo was just a joke.
The woman’s picture was first posted on Reddit and Imgur by her husband, with her consent, WHAM reported. The angry Splash Mountain photo quickly went viral and inspired a slew of photoshopped versions and memes that have kept Steven and Jordan Alexander laughing ever since.
So what’s behind the woman’s angry expression?
It had been a long, hot day at Disney World with their baby and Steven’s in-laws. According to United Press International , he’d promised to go on Splash Mountain with his wife because it was her favorite. But, at the last second, he backed out.

“I was not happy,” the woman told Inside Edition . “He is not a ride’s guy but he promised me and he promised me he would go.”
“It was hot and I was getting tired,” Steven explained, “but she really wanted to go on Splash Mountain and I had promised her earlier that I would go on it with her. At the time I was just beat I said I don’t think I’m going to go on Splash Mountain. She said, ‘Fine then I’m going to go on by myself!”
Angry and feeling a bit vengeful, Jordan went on the ride herself why the rest of the family waited in the gift shop. So, the woman decided that she would create a souvenir of her solo trip on Splash Mountain.
“I thought it would kind of be funny if my husband had a memento of how mad he made me. I practiced my face the whole ride. I wanted to get it right but I didn’t have a mirror, so I had to frown my brow, make a face, and hope for the best.”
The results were better than anyone could have hoped for. When the Splash Mountain ride was done, the woman collected her angry pic and immediately brandished it in front of her oath-breaking husband’s face.
“She marched up to me and held out the picture and she said here I did this for you!” he recalled. “I took one look at (it) and we just died laughing and later on she said you should really post this on the internet, it will probably go viral.”
And he did, captioning the photograph,”Wife got a little perturbed that I wouldn’t accompany her on the ride.”

“Angry Splash Mountain Lady” has since appeared on Facebook feeds in numerous hilarious incarnations ever since, ABC News added. They “died laughing” when they first saw a Mona Lisa version of the angry snapshot and loved another that featured all the current presidential candidates.
At the end of the day, the Syracuse woman wasn’t nearly as angry as depicted in her picture. The snapshot of the woman giving her husband a death stare is indicative of the Alexander’s marriage — using humor to get through tough times.
In fact, Steven has had medical troubles in the past, undergoing a kidney transplant that he wrote about in Chicken Soup for the Soul .
“Humor was one thing that kept us together through all of the hardships. This picture is just another example of how we make each other laugh. She just gave the perfect, perfect husband death stare at that camera and I’m glad a lot of people get it in the spirit it was intended.”
