JoJo Fletcher: Rumored ‘Bachelor’ Runner-Up Could Have ‘The Bachelorette’ As A Consolation

JoJo Fletcher may have heartbreak ahead on The Bachelor — at least, if the spoilers are true — but the fan-favorite could soon be on her own search for love on the next season of The Bachelorette.

JoJo and Lauren Bushnell are the final two women vying for the heart of Bachelor Ben Higgins, and to fans watching at home, it seems like a very close decision. Ben has shared “I love yous” with both women, and teasers for next week’s finale point to an anguishing decision between JoJo and Lauren.

Ben has also shared with fans just how difficult it is to pick, writing in a blog for People magazine that he had strong feelings for both women.

“I am in love with two women. Two very different, but equally remarkable, women,” he wrote. “Believe me, I am just as surprised as you all are and was even more so when it was all starting to happen. Especially considering that going into this, I still had a fear that I may be unlovable, and now here I am with not just one woman that I can see a real and wonderful future with, but TWO. I’m still not sure how it happened but it did.”

The finale was a heartbreaking moment for JoJo Fletcher, a source told Us Weekly, but it now could be the impetus for her becoming the next star of The Bachelorette.

“She was upset and heartbroken,” an insider told Us Weekly. “Not that you’d be surprised by that reaction. Any jilted woman would be torn apart. And having her humiliation taped for national TV would only crater her ego even more. Now, I’m convinced that if JoJo is indeed Ben Higgins’ discarded finalist, she should be chosen to be the next Bachelorette. If it’s Lauren Bushnell, I don’t feel the same way. I’m not convinced that she’d have the requisite chutzpah Ito take on the tough task of making out with multiple men. It’s JoJo who has the outgoing, upbeat personality essential for a successful Bachelorette.”

There are some other strong signs that JoJo Fletcher may not become the next Bachelorette. Insider Reality Steve, who has correctly predicted almost every winner of the Bachelor and Bachelorette to date, said that ABC will be picking fellow contestant Caila Quinn to anchor the next Bachelorette season.

Caila herself has been a bit coy in the past about her possibility of joining The Bachelorette. Back in February, she was a bit wishy-washy about the prospect of being in the spotlight herself.

“It’s definitely something I would think about,” Caila told Us Weekly. “I did fall in love with this process before… but I definitely need some time.” At the taping, Quinn said outright that her personality didn’t exactly fit the bill. I just don’t think that I’m that kind of person. I’m just a normal person. That’s why.”

There are also some lingering rumors that JoJo Fletcher could still have a future with Ben Higgins after all. While Reality Steve and other insiders have predicted that Ben will choose Lauren Bushnell, there are some other reports claiming that their relationship will be short-lived, as Ben still has strong and lingering feelings for JoJo.

Fans who want to see if the Bachelor spoilers turn out to be true, or whether JoJo Fletcher ends up as the next Bachelorette, won’t have much longer to wait. The show’s finale is now less than a week away, with fans finding out Ben’s final pick on Monday.
