The Bachelor 2016 finale is just a week away, but those trying to find out who Ben Higgins picks may be asking the wrong question.

Higgins has whittled down the field of women to just two for next week’s finale — JoJo Fletcher and Lauren Bushnell. That has been the prediction among insiders for weeks, and Ben’s final decision has also been clear, as well.

According to the Bachelor 2016 finale spoilers, Lauren Bushnell will be Ben’s final pick, receiving an engagement ring and a promise to walk down the aisle. But Ben may not be able to keep that promise for long, rumors indicate.

Anyone following this season of The Bachelor has seen the difficulty Ben Higgins has gone through in making his decision. He exchanged “I love you”s with both women, and has spoken about his deep feelings for both. He even wrote about the struggle in picking one in a blog for People magazine.

“I am in love with two women. Two very different, but equally remarkable, women,” he wrote. “Believe me, I am just as surprised as you all are and was even more so when it was all starting to happen. Especially considering that going into this, I still had a fear that I may be unlovable, and now here I am with not just one woman that I can see a real and wonderful future with, but TWO. I’m still not sure how it happened but it did.”

There were some rumors that Ben Higgins didn’t make his final decision until the day he actually had to propose, ultimately deciding to pick Lauren Bushnell, even though he still felt very strongly for JoJo Fletcher.

That has led many to believe that the Bachelor finale spoilers don’t tell the final story for Ben. Celeb Dirty Laundry reported that there are rumors that Lauren Bushnell has called off the wedding over Ben’s lingering and deep feelings for JoJo.

“According to The Bachelor 2016 spoilers, Ben Higgins had a total meltdown right before the final rose ceremony because he didn’t know whether to choose Lauren or Jojo. Eventually he gave his final rose to Lauren and sent Jojo packing. The thing is, when you are in love with someone – it doesn’t just magically go away because you propose to another woman.

“Could Ben Higgins pull a Jason Mesnick (Season 13) and change his mind after the final rose ceremony and dump Lauren Bushnell to be with Jojo Fletcher? For those of you who don’t recall, Jason famously gave his final rose to Melissa – however after the finale he changed his mind and dumped her and wound up marrying the runner-up Molly. Will Bachelor history repeat itself?”

It’s not clear if the Bachelor 2016 finale spoilers will come true. While it seems certain that he will be picking Lauren, the predictions that their relationship is already over could be off the mark. For one, Ben Higgins already has an outstanding offer to appear on Dancing With The Stars. While that’s not uncommon among Bachelor contestants, especially one as popular as Ben, it normally doesn’t happen if ABC producers know that the relationship will be ending soon. Part of the DWTS appeal is having the couple appear together in front of live cameras, appearing happy and supportive.

There are also reports about JoJo Fletcher that could contradict the Bachelor 2016 finale spoilers. She is reportedly a frontrunner to appear as the next Bachelorette, rumors that likely wouldn’t exist if she was getting back with Ben.

Fans who want to find out if the Bachelor 2016 finale spoilers come true won’t have to wait much longer. The finale episode of the show airs March 14.
