Joran Van Der Sloot Getting Married Behind Bars
Joran van der Sloot, the 24-year-old imprisoned killer is going to get married while serving time behind bars. According to van der Sloot’s attorney Max Altez the wedding will occur inside the Peruvian prison where van der Sloot is serving a 28-year prison sentence for the murder of Stephany Flores.
The website Peru21.pe broke the story but they had yet to reveal who the bride is or when the wedding will take place, only that it is going to happen sometime this year.
Attorney Altez denied to The Daily Beast that he ever made a comment about a wedding, noting:
“I deny all of that. As far as I know, he’s not going to get married. They cited me as the source, but I’m just in charge of his legal issues, and I don’t participate in his private life.”
If he does web behind bars it shouldn’t come as a surprise, after his arrest Joran van der Sloot told reports that he was receiving numerous marriage proposals from various women. In one specifically disturbing proposal a female “fan” said she wanted van der Sloot to get her pregnant.
The prison would have to allow the marriage to take place and this wouldn’t be the first time a convicted and despised killer web behind bars, here are three of the most notable marrying killers of all time as laid out by the Huffington Post:
