Gwen Stefani’s Music Video For ‘Make Me Like You’ To Debut During Grammy Awards
Tonight’s a big night for Gwen Stefani. In addition to Monday night’s Grammy Awards, the singer and regular star of The Voice is looking forward to debuting her new music video for “Make Me Like You,” the latest track off her album, This Is What The Truth Feels Like, during one of the award show’s commercial breaks.
On February 15, Gwen Stefani took to Instagram, where she spoke of the upcoming reveal, telling fans, “Tonight’s the night. Watch the Make Me Like You LIVE music video during a #GRAMMYs commercial break! @Target #MoreMusic.”
Gwen Stefani began working on her latest album last year, following the end of her marriage to Gavin Rossdale, and while “Used To Love You,” was assumed to be about him, “Make Me Like You” appears to be about Shelton. In fact, Gwen Stefani hinted at just that on her Twitter page just days ago.
You can probably understand the multiple reasons why I just bought this… I hope you do to!!! @gwenstefani pic.twitter.com/AUkHCqhlv8

After Gwen Stefani’s main squeeze shared the photo above, along with his message about wanting to purchase the album, Gwen Stefani told him she hoped he would like “Make Me Like You.”
“Hope u like this song,” Gwen Stefani wrote in a message to Shelton, along with a winking-eyed emoji.
Below are several of the lyrics from Gwen Stefani’s “Make Me Like You.”
“I was fine before I met you. I was broken but fine. I was lost and uncertain. But my heart was not mine. I was free before I met you. I was broken but free. All alone in a clear view, but now you are all I see… I could get used to this. It’s getting harder to leave it. Your lips on my lips. Oh I can’t believe it.”
Although Gwen Stefani hasn’t directly confirmed who any of her songs are about, it has been widely reported that “Make Me Like You” is about Shelton, and judging by the lyrics above, it simply couldn’t be anyone else.
Excited but [nervous] for @Target and my LIVE music video. Watch tomorrow on CBS!! #MoreMusic pic.twitter.com/vrath4wiOc

Gwen Stefani and Shelton began dating last fall, months after Gwen Stefani and Rossdale announced they were parting ways after 13 years of marriage, and three children together, sons Kingston, Zuma and Apollo. Just weeks prior, Shelton announced his own divorce from now-ex-wife Miranda Lambert, which came after four years of marriage.
After Gwen Stefani and Shelton went public with their romance by holding hands and drinking with friends at a Country Music Awards after party, they proceeded to flaunt their relationship on episodes of The Voice Season 9, and have also been open about their relationship on social media.
As Gwen Stefan and Shelton head back to The Voice for Season 10, the dynamic between them is sure to change. While Gwen Stefani has appeared on the show’s seventh and ninth seasons of The Voice as a coach, she will be seen on season 10 only as a mentor for her boyfriend’s team. While the ratings were certainly impressive as Gwen Stefani’s romance with Shelton took center stage, she and Christina Aguilera have been alternating roles for the last few seasons, and are expected to continue to do so as the show goes on.
In addition to Shelton being likely included in Gwen Stefani’s new album, he’s also been getting acquainted with her young sons, and has been spotted in Los Angeles with the boys on multiple occasions.
For more Gwen Stefani, tune into the Grammy Awards tonight, February 15, at 8 p.m. on CBS.
