Man Of Steel Comic-Con Poster And Trailer Unveiled
The Man of Steel poster and trailer unveiled at Comic-Con 2012 (scroll down for the full version of the poster – the trailer is currently very tough to find online) have provoked an outpouring of joy from fans, proving once again that the appetite for superhero flicks seems to be never-bloody-ending.
The poster and trailer for the Zack Snyder-directed Superman reboot were both revealed at Comic-Con, and got quite a response – some outlets report fans weeping at the mere sight of footage from the new film. The trailer will be shown at screenings of The Dark Knight Rises.
Man of Steel is due to hit theaters in June 2013, seven years after Superman last appeared on the big screen, in Superman Returns. In this new version, our Superman is Henry Cavill (whose presence at Comic-Con produced much knicker-wetting screeching and other assorted gibberish) while Amy Adams plays Lois Lane. Other stars include Laurence Fishburne (as Perry White), Diane Lane (Martha Kent), and Kevin Costner (Jonathan Kent). Superman’s mother Lara Lor-Van is being played by Ayelet Zurer, and his father, Jor-El, will be played by Russell Crowe.
On the side of the baddies, Michael Shannon will be doing his best General Zod, and Antje Traue will star as Faora.
In Man of Steel, Clark Kent roams the world covering various news stories, and finds himself compelled to intervene with his super powers in a crisis in West Africa. He also returns to Smallville to learn more about his origins and the hero he was born to be.
