Drake And Rihanna Spotted Having Dinner In Toronto, Duo Continue Filming For ‘Work’ Music Video
Drake and Rihanna continue to climb the Billboard charts with their new collaborative single, “Work,” but it appears that the duo are still busy putting the finishing touches on the track’s upcoming music video.
Just weeks after Rihanna and Drake were spotted filming for the “Work” music video in Los Angeles, the duo were reportedly spotted having dinner together in Toronto last night amid rumors suggesting that Rihanna and Drake are in town to host open casting calls for extras in their video.
In December, rumors of a new Drake and Rihanna collaboration began to surface on social media after fans obtained a copy of a casting call for the duo’s impending music video. The rumors were confirmed just weeks later after fans were able to capture photos and audio recordings of the duo’s video shoot in Los Angeles; however, many of the clips have since been removed due to copyright violations.

Now, it appears that Rihanna and Drake’s video location has been moved to the “Hotline Bling” rapper’s native Toronto after fans took to Twitter to reveal that they saw the duo dining together at Drake’s restaurant last night.
“Omg!!!! Rihanna out for dinner at Frings tonight w/Drake #SuchAF***ingFan!!!!!!!! I wish she came into the kitchen #ChefLife,” one Twitter user wrote of the duo’s late-night dinner on Thursday.
In addition, The Shade Room captured several posts from other Twitter users who reported seeing the former couple having dinner together at Fring’s yesterday, with one fan revealing, “they were all flirty and left together too lol.”
The news comes just days after an open casting call for Rihanna and Drake’s “Work” music video was reportedly held in Toronto earlier this week, CBC News Toronto reports.
The site explains that an open call for professional and non-professional dancers was held in Toronto’s east end on Tuesday, garnering lots of attention from eager locals who lined up for nearly four hours in the hopes of securing a spot as an extra in the duo’s upcoming video.

In addition, the site notes that the casting director indicated that the video will be “dancehall style” and that they are seeking a total of 60 men and women, ages 19-40, to serve as extras for the project. The casting call also notes that the shoot date for the video is set to begin on February 5, which likely explains the reason for Drake and Rihanna’s sudden appearance in Toronto yesterday evening.
The news comes just one day after Rihanna opened up about her ongoing working relationship with Drake, whom she previously collaborated with on tracks like “What’s My Name?” and “Take Care,” in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres for The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday.
During the segment, DeGeneres made a point to inquire about Rihanna’s relationship status while also addressing her new collaboration with Drake, Billboard reported.
While Rihanna confirmed that she’s “single right now” due to her busy schedule, the songstress admits that she would “love to go on tour with Drake” while noting, “That has to happen.”
While Drake may not be appearing on Rihanna’s upcoming “Anti World Tour,” which kicks off later this month, it appears that the duo continues to make progress toward completing their “Work” music video.
With Rihanna having just recently confirmed her plans to perform at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards on February 15, rumors continue to swirl suggesting that Rihanna and Drake may be teaming up for a surprise performance of “Work,” although neither artist has confirmed the rumors.
What do you think of Rihanna and Drake’s newest collaboration? Will Rihanna perform “Work” at the Grammys?
