Why Is Eileen Davidson Coming To Faye Resnick’s Defense?
Eileen Davidson may have been absent from Kyle Richards’ BBQ party, but she didn’t miss out on the drama between Kathryn Edwards and Faye Resnick. Apparently, Eileen isn’t completely in the dark about what happened between the ladies, but she does think that based on what she knows, Faye is getting a horrible beating in the press. According to a new Bravo report, Eileen Davidson is now coming to Resnick’s defense, saying that she’s actually quite the lovely person.
“She’s getting slammed right now in the press for some reason,” Eileen Davidson revealed Tuesday night as she sat down with Andy Cohen for Watch What Happens Live, adding, “She’s a lovely person and beautiful inside and out.”
While Kyle Richards will always defend Faye no matter what she says, other people are not that understanding of Faye’s antics. While Davidson wasn’t at the party, Kathryn Edwards desperately tried to understand why she was part of Faye’s book that was written years ago about the OJ Simpson murder case. She had been mentioned in Resnick’s book called Nicole Brown Simpson: The Private Diary of a Life Interrupted, and the writer claims that Kathryn’s ex-husband Marcus Allen had an affair with Nicole Brown Simpson while the two were engaged. Up until this year, Kathryn had never met Resnick.

One can imagine that Kathryn is angry with her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star, but Eileen Davidson is quite happy that she wasn’t in town to deal with the drama that went down. Eileen was in Italy to spread her sister’s ashes. Her sister had been struggling with cancer and had told no one that she was terminally ill. Instead of sharing this news, Eileen Davidson’s sister suddenly died, leaving Eileen to pick up the pieces.
“I am so happy I was on vacation in Italy with my family while everyone else attended Kyle’s barbecue (without any barbecue),” Davidson wrote earlier this week in her official blog for the episode, adding, “Too many unresolved issues for one dinner table. Faye and Kathryn’s history regarding Nicole Brown Simpson came up. Faye and Lisa V. saw each other after not seeing each other for years after an unresolved fight. And Lisa R. and Yolanda were in the same room since the whole ‘Munchausen’ thing came up. I really care about both these ladies, and I hope they talk it out and put this to rest.”
Of course, the Kathryn and Faye debate is just another major point of drama that is happening. Lisa Rinna is in hot water with Yolanda Foster for suggesting that people think she’s faking having Lyme disease. She’s brought up the idea of Munchausen several times, which is a disorder where you tell people you are sick, but you are not. It is definitely clear that Yolanda is very sick. But this episode also surprised Eileen Davidson, as she didn’t know that Lisa Vanderpump didn’t like the scandalous author either.

“On the Faye and Lisa V. thing, I didn’t even know they had a history, so I can’t really comment on it since I don’t know any of the details. All I can say about Faye is that I’ve met her several times and think she’s a lovely person,” Eileen Davidson points out.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out, especially now that Davidson could be on Resnick’s side in this debate. She believes that she’s a nice person and probably didn’t intend to hurt Kathryn.
What do you think of Eileen Davidson’s comments? Are you surprised that she’s so supportive of this friend of the wives?
