Samantha Ronson Claims Paris Hilton is an ‘Insult’ to DJs

Samantha Ronson, who’s usually known as the quiet unseen force behind club tunes is now speaking out against Paris Hilton after reports that the heiress is trying her hand at DJing.

Paris Hilton made her debut as a DJ last month as she showed off her skills or lack thereof at the Pop Music Festival in Sao Paulo, Brazil. However, during the set an actual technician was seen behind Hilton as she played her set. DJing which is known as a skilled art isn’t anything to take lightly, at least according to Samantha Ronson.

Ronson, who’s a professional DJ and ex-flame of Lindsay Lohan spoke with TMZ and called Hilton out on her trying to take up an extra curricular activity. “That s*** with [Hilton], It’s like, c’mon man. She’s tried everything now. Just put some quality behind the s*** that you do.”

Earlier in May Ronson appeared on Live! With Kelly in an attempt to launch her own singing career, and was met with less than stellar reviews. Long before trying to launch her singing career on Live! her very first song Built This Way was featured in Lohan’s Mean Girls film, and when nothing ever came from it and she stuck to DJing.

Ronson continued her rant about Paris Hilton’s tried attempt at DJing by saying, “Put some effort into it… If you do the work, your work will speak for itself (but) if you’re just like: ‘Oh I want to figure out how I can make more money this week’, it insults the people that work really hard at it. It’s like me calling myself a doctor from reading (health website) WebMD twice.”

Looks like Paris Hilton is down a supporter. Do you think Ronson should have been more understanding of Hilton trying to branch out?
