Kendall Jenner’s Boyfriend Harry Styles To Be On ‘KUWTK’: Kendall Comes Under Fire For Mango Campaign [Video]

Kendall Jenner’s new boyfriend, Harry Styles, has agreed to be on reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, at momager Kris Jenner’s insistence. Although the One Direction alum initially did not want to be on the show, Radar Online reports that Kris convinced him to take part in some scripted scenes.

Styles and Kendall were first linked as a couple when they were spotted leaving a dinner date at Craig’s, a restaurant in West Hollywood, California. The duo split after just three months, but now seemingly are back on track after an intimate on a yacht at St Barts. So far, Harry is the first man Kendall has been publicly linked to, and the reality star turned model has explained that she tries to keep her private life, well, private!

Last September, Kendall said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that it is not easy to keep her dating life on the down low, but “I don’t know, I just like to keep my private life private.” Although Kendall tries her best to keep her love affairs quiet, the model explained that “at the same time, I try not to let being out with someone affect my everyday life.”

Jenner continued that “if I want to go out and grab a smoothie with a friend who’s a male, I’m not gonna let the paparazzi stop me from doing that and living my life.” Despite her ever increasing fame, Kendall Jenner tries “just being a normal person… but when it comes to a point, it’s just not a big deal,” she added.

But now that it’s obvious Jenner is dating the boy bander, Kris reportedly has recruited the rocker to be featured in scenes on Keeping Up With The Kardashians. According to a Jenner insider, Kris went “all-out to have him as involved as possible,” and it will be worth it, since Harry’s star power is unstoppable.

According to Radar, Kris wants Kendall and Harry to go out on double dates with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, and since “Harry knows there’s no way of stopping the cameras, that’s what comes with dating a Kardashian,” he figures he may as well join in the fun. The Jenner insider also revealed that “the question is how often he’ll allow them to follow him and 20-year-old Kendall around.”

Although Styles is reportedly “a little wary” of being on camera with Kendall, the bottom line is at some point, as long as he continues to date Jenner, he will be on camera. The insider concluded that what “Kris wants she usually gets,” which includes guest stars on Keeping Up With The Kardashians. If Kendall has a famous boyfriend, “it’s a question of when and not if he will be indoctrinated into this family.”

In addition to being in the limelight with a famous boyfriend, Kendall has come under some heat lately for her participation in a new Mango campaign. Kendall, who has participated in shows with Givenchy, Marc Jacobs, and Victoria’s Secret, was chosen as one of the new faces to show of Mango’s African savanna-inspired collection.

In an Instagram photo, which featured Jenner wearing an oversize sweater and pants, the fashion brand introduced the new collection, captioning the photo by asking fans if they are “ready to take on the next big trend? Introducing Tribal Spirit, our new campaign starring the one and only @KendallJenner.”

Detractor’s question whether Kendall is an appropriate choice to represent the line, but Mango has stood fast with its decision. “We thought that she was the best model to embody this trend,” Daniel López, Mango’s vice president, told Women’s Wear Daily.

Kendall was chosen in part because “she’s very professional,” and despite her young age, Jenner “works fantastically.” Lopez also explained that Kendall, being a huge celebrity, “has huge repercussions in the market and among her followers” to promote the brand.
