‘KUWTK’ Lamar Odom Health Update: Still Not Ready For Rehab Center

The hope was that Lamar Odom would be out of Cedars-Siani before Christmas, in time for his children’s visit, but as of New Year’s Day, he is still not ready for the rehab center. Odom reportedly continues to have memory and other neurological issues, in addition to not being able to walk without a walker, and difficulty standing up.

According to the Inquisitr, Odom was really hoping to be out of the hospital by Christmas, as his children were going to be able to visit for their winter break. However, Odom is still having issues remembering his own name, and the names of others. He requires assistance to do almost everything, and his speech is still not clear. His children, Destiny and Lamar, Jr., with Liza Morales are in California and visiting him at the hospital.

The Dehli Daily News is reporting that Odom is having troubling memory problems, and the bills continue to mount. Sources are starting to wonder who is going to be paying Odom’s bills as he has a lot of time to come at a rehab facility.

“It is unclear whether Odom’s wife Khloe Kardashian was helping with the costs, healthcare costs expert Shana Alex Charles claimed she would likely be responsible for a portion of the bills due to the fact that she and Odom are still married.”

Khloé Kardashian and Lamar Odom are still married, but Kardashian has once again started divorce proceedings.

The Christian Post said that Lamar Odom’s medical bills could add up to be in the millions. Friends are saying that it is unclear where Odom will go from here.

“Obviously, Odom has not yet reached that point even if the hospital where he stays in has said that he is ‘still not doing great.’ On the other hand, Charles noted that the former Los Angeles Lakers player’s case is serious, and with the huge amount of medical needs that has to be rendered to him, the bill will most likely sum up to around $50,000 per night.”

As Odom’s wife, Kardashian is responsible for his medical bills.

“Family law specialist Ryan Stearns says Odom’s treatment bills are considered debt and ‘they are going to be presumed as a family obligation. On the other hand, there are exceptions to the law, which can allow Kardashian to work things out the way they should. [sic]”

Daily Mail is confirming Odom’s children have arrived in California from New York for their visit. Odom’s two children reportedly arrived at LAX on Monday, and asked the press to please continue to pray for their father, as he needs all the help he can get. Odom continues to recover from his October overdose in Nevada. Odom’s children are staying with Khloé Kardashian during their time visiting with their father. Kardashian is optimistic that Odom will be able to move into the new rehab center by the end of January if he can make progress. It would help everyone if he could walk by himself and pull himself up without the assistance of several people. Odom, who is nearly seven feet tall, requires the help of several people to do basic things.

The Kardashian family had a challenging year with Lamar Odom’s overdose, Kim Kardashian’s pregnancy, Khloé Kardashian’s staph infection, and most recently Rob Kardashian’s diabetes. It seems the family members are becoming frequent guests at Cedars-Siani Hospital.
