Kate Middleton: Popularity Soars Amid Prince William Jealousy Rumors, Kate’s Top Fashion Moments Of 2015
There is no doubt that Kate Middleton is one of the most celebrated royals of the time. The adulation and adoration the Duchess of Cambridge receives is certainly on par to that of her husband’s late mother, Princess Diana. In fact, Middleton only falls runner up to the Queen, herself, when it comes to royal popularity. Prince William and his brother, Prince Harry, have fallen by the wayside and have cleared the way for the radiant brunette, not to mention, the couple’s two adorable children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
Rumors have begun making the rounds that the future king is a little bit tired of his wife’s ongoing time in the spotlight, and certain tabloids are suggesting that William is a tad bit jealous of Kate. Celebrity Dirty Laundry makes a point of circulating this story. The unreliable publication also draws on William’s father and mother’s situation before they parted ways as a means to predict how Kate and William’s marriage will pan out.
“Is Prince William taking the ‘I’m just one of the guys’ look a little too far? Is it time for the Duke of Cambridge to update his look? As one Royal watcher observed, it is the middle-class Middleton who looks as if royal fairy dust has been sprinkled upon her. The blue-blooded William is beginning to resemble an ordinary run-of-the-mill Sloane Ranger. Prince Charles was resentful of Diana’s fanatical followers. And we all know how that marriage ended. And as the Prince and Princess of Wales’ marriage fell apart, the family photos became increasingly staged and stiff.”
It’s hardly believable that the Duke of Cambridge is jealous or worried about the attention garnered by his stunning wife, Kate. Middleton has been criticized leading up to 2015 due to seeming as though she is of little substance and all about looks. Middleton has made a complete change this year to demonstrate that she has much to offer and is fully willing to be an advocate for important causes, such as supporting children’s mental health and education.
The year has also allowed royal watchers to continue to be wowed by Kate’s spot on fashion choices, seeing as she’s stepped out in some show-stopper looks on the regular.
Because the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were expecting their second child during the early parts of the year, this meant that there wasn’t a scheduled royal tour, as is usually the case. Kate, however, found a range of events to attend and at which she was able to demonstrate that, pregnant or not, her style is always on point.
The Mirror highlights some of the most flattering ensembles Kate wore throughout 2015, which saw to it that she remained a royal fashion icon.Additionally, the publication notes that Kate was ravishing, even when out for coffee with friends in Kensington, west London, when she threw on a Natasha coat and a “pretty, figure-hugging Florrie dress” underneath, which the Duchess wore on two other occasions.“Back in January, Kate wore Madderson London’s Naomi dress for the opening of an Art Room at Barlby Primary School in West London after picking it up in the sale. The navy ‘Naomi’ dress with tweed pocket detail nipped the Duchess in just above her bump at the empire line.”
Her return from maternity leave allowed for some alternative figure-hugging ensembles, as the Mirror reminds.
“On her return from maternity leave, Kate sported a gringe — or grown out fringe — as she visited the Anna Freud Centre in central London. She wore a belted £1,245 Ralph Lauren houndstooth print ‘Silk Austin Shirtdress’ teamed with a pair of black court shoes a simple black clutch.”
Most recently, Middleton stunned on Christmas morning in a gorgeous emerald green Sportsmax coat with matching hat and accented by a vintage brooch, as Fashionista Blog noted.
