Dan Bilzerian, the self proclaimed “King of Instagram,” has endorsed Donald Trump’s bid for presidency, and people’s responses on Twitter have been hilarious. If you’re fortunate enough to have never heard of Dan Bilzerian, he’s a controversial social media figure and poker player, who is better known for kicking women in the face and throwing them off rooftops.
This week Dan Bilzerian took to Twitter to express his support for Trump by tweeting, “In an age of pussified political correctness, you have to respect the people who remain unfiltered.” The tweet was posted alongside a photo of Bilzerian and Trump hanging out and sharing a fruit tray.
Although Bilzerian hasn’t come out and specifically stated that Trump will be winning his vote for president, it seems pretty clear that he’s a fan of the businessman turned politician. According to the Daily Caller, Bilzerian talked about his foray into politics when he said, “I am more of a constitutionalist libertarian. I believe in the Constitution.”
None of this should come as a surprise, considering Bilzerian is known best for his love of guns, attention and hijinx. Some have insinuated that his over-the-top behavior isn’t all that different from Trump’s .
It’s certainly no secret that Trump has a knack for getting crowds riled up, but Bilzerian just may give him a run for his money. For every person who supports Dan Bilzerian’s brazen, rude, and often misogynist public persona, there seems to be 10 others who loathe the social media sensation and have no problem tweeting about it.
Following the Trump/Bilzerian photo, people were coming out of the woodwork on Twitter with sarcastic, snarky and in some cases, hilarious responses to the endorsement.
Twitter user ?@tylermorrison1 tweeted a simple, but snarky comment.
#danbilzerian endorsed #DonaldTrump which makes sense since they both use their dad’s money to pretend they live perfect lives

Meanwhile, Twitter user ?@MrScottEddy didn’t seem surprised by the pair hanging out together.

Some people weren’t so subtle in their responses.
Just when you thought Trump couldn’t possibly stoop any lower, he gets Dan Bilzerian to endorse him- a white man’s version of Snoop Dogg.

Twitter user?@SinCityTaxi had mixed feelings about the whole thing.
The frat boy in me loves that Trump hangs out with Dan Bilzerian, the adult in me is embarrased by it. pic.twitter.com/wMYu0rdNxY

Last, but certainly not least, the guy blog, Bro Bible summed it up accurately by tweeting ?on the endorsement.

All this begs the question: will Dan Bilzerian’s endorsement be hurtful to Donald’s Trump presidential campaign? It’s unlikely.
Although Bilzerian’s antics with pornstars and run-ins with the law certainly don’t make him a poster boy for the GOP, it’s unlikely that anyone with political common sense will pay attention to him at all. Nevertheless, watching the whole thing unfold on social media is a bit like a trainwreck; painful to watch but you just can’t look away.
