Kim Kardashian’s Baby: Kourtney Kardashian Thinks Name ‘Saint West’ Is A ‘Little Nutty,’ According To Reports

Kim Kardashian’s baby’s name, Saint West, has been out of the bag for a few days now, and people across the internet have reacted with surprise and indifference. Kim and husband Kanye West have their fair share of haters on the internet, so it came as no shock that the baby’s name evoked the reaction, but when someone close to Kim criticized Saint West’s name, it was a bit more surprising.

According to the New York Daily News, big sister Kourtney Kardashian isn’t exactly a fan of Kim Kardashian’s baby’s name. In fact, according to the report, when Kourtney heard that Kim and Kanye had decided to name the baby Saint West, she laughed.

According to the New York Daily News source, the elder Keeping Up with the Kardashians star told Kim, “Look at what I named my kids: You don’t want them to get made fun of.”

Kourtney Kardashian has three children with ex Scott Disick. Her kids are named Mason, 5, Penelope, 3, and Reign, 11 months.

According to the report from the New York Daily News, Kim wasn’t too thrilled with sister Kourtney’s response.

“Kim got an attitude,” a source told the New York Daily News.

Kourtney wasn’t the only one who thought Kim’s baby’s name was a bit odd. The newspaper wrote that “naming the baby Saint is a little nutty.”

According to Hollywood Life, Kim and Kanye decided to name their baby Saint West after Kim Kardashians’s father, Robert Kardashian. The website reports that Kim chose the name because she always thought of her father as a saint.

Hollywood Life wrote, “They chose the name in honor of Kim’s late father, Robert Kardashian, who Kim says she always considered to be a saint. No wonder the baby’s middle name is Robert too!”

If the report is to be believed, Hollywood Life indicates that Saint West’s name is meaningful to Kim and Kanye. Perhaps the name doesn’t have the same meaning for Kourtney Kardashian, or perhaps the meaning hadn’t been explained to Kourtney when she scoffed at the name. Either way, according to the New York Daily News, Kourtney initially seemed to think the name is a bit silly.

Kardashian and West also faced criticism and dealt with a multitude of jokes after they named their first child North West.

Kim Kardashian’s baby was born December 5, and she revealed the baby’s name via her Twitter account on December 7. She also shared that the baby weighed eight pounds, one ounce.

In the final days of the pregnancy, the KUTWK star revealed that she and her husband still had not chosen a name for their son, and rumors that the baby would be named Easton or South ran rampant across social media.

Kim shut down those rumors, though, saying that Kanye didn’t like the name Easton West and that she didn’t like the name South.

Shortly after she announced her pregnancy, Kim said, “I don’t like South West, though, because that’s like North will always be better and be more… she has a better direction. So I wouldn’t do that. I don’t think we’ll go with another direction. I mean, everyone keeps on saying South and I think it’s so stupid. Stupidest thing ever and just ridiculous.”
