Olivia Culpo Proves Tim Tebow Is No Russell Wilson On And Off The Field
Tim Tebow’s NFL game has often been compared by supporters to Super Bowl Champion quarterback Russell Wilson. Both are fast, elusive playmakers on the field, with unorthodox throwing motions and a penchant for late game comebacks.
But unlike Wilson, Tebow’s NFL career path has fallen short of completion, while Russell just signed a new long term deal with the Seattle Seahawks for the next four years. And thanks to supermodel Olivia Culpo, you can scratch yet another comparison off the table.
According to the NY Daily News, Culpo has called it quits with Tim because of Tebow’s devout Christian ways. In other words, Tebow wasn’t giving it up and Olivia couldn’t take it any more.
“The former Miss USA, who was first reported to be seeing Tebow in early October, has told friends that she can’t deal with the famously abstinent star’s nookie-less lifestyle.”
Which is a shame, considering how well the relationship appeared to be going, with talk of marriage in the cards, as reported by Inquisitr.
“He was really into her,” a source said, “he was sending her love letters and cute notes and professing his love for her.”
But in the end, Olivia Culpo called an audible and broke things off instead.
“She had to break up with him because she just couldn’t handle it. He still hits her up, but she just can’t deal with the sex thing. He’s pretty adamant about it, I guess.”
The irony to this is that Russell Wilson is also a devout Christian, preaching and practicing abstinence before marriage. In his case, much like his NFL career, he’s proving doubters wrong as he and his girlfriend, superstar singer Ciara, seem to be making it work.
According to Christian Today, Ciara is completely supportive of Russell’s belief in leading a celibate lifestyle.
“The couple made headlines earlier this year when Wilson admitted that they are staying celibate and that God told him to “lead” his girlfriend. The pair made their debut as a couple at a White House state dinner last April, and since then, they have been seen side by side at numerous events. Last month, Wilson even threw a super-hero themed surprise party for his girlfriend and this month, the two went on a Mexican getaway with Ciara’s son, Future Jr.”
Which brings us back to Tim Tebow and his relationship with Olivia Culpo. While it’s not fair to compare the two, it certainly adds to the dubious similarities between the two quarterbacks. And whether or not Tim will be as lucky in love as Russell Wilson appears to be, one thing is for certain: Tim’s NFL career will never be as fruitful.
Tebow had a shot at cracking a roster this past offseason when Chip Kelly took a flyer on Tim in training camp. It appeared as if the former Heisman winner was going to crack the Eagles roster after Kelly dealt third string quarterback Matt Barkley to the Cardinals the day before cuts were due.
But Kelly ended up passing on a Tebow comeback letting Tim go at the final hour. Tebow has since returned to the SCC network as a college football analyst, hoping his NFL dream might rekindle itself next year instead.
Russell Wilson meanwhile, signed a four-year, $87.6 million contract extension with the Seattle Seahawks just before the opening of the 2015 NFL season. The Seahawks are 5-5 this year, and knee deep in the playoff hunt in the NFC.
