Bizarre Buzz: A Jeep Turns Pole Into A Cross, South African UFO — And Cars Seem To Crash Into Nothing [Videos] [Photos]

File these three events gaining buzz online into the strange news category. First off, a photo showing the aftermath of an accident of a Jeep that rolled into a pole is getting plenty of views on Imgur and Reddit. In the 17 hours since the image was uploaded, it has gained 3,682,202 views. That’s because the striking image shows what Reddit user jblaise13 says was the result of his friend rolling his Jeep, which struck the bottom of a pole and left a cross hanging in its wake.

“Buddy of mine calls me to tell me he just rolled his jeep through a telephone pole. I said pics or it didn’t happen. He sent me this.”

According to the amazing responses given by the Reddit user after the photo of the rolled Jeep that left a cross dangling in the aftermath of the accident, the accident occurred on Friday, November 27. The accident took place “as far south as you can get in Texas.” That user also provided another photo of the Jeep that left a cross looming overhead.

“How is ‘Jesus took the wheel’ not the top comment.”

Speed and conditions caused the Jeep to roll, reports the Reddit user — one who is fielding all sorts of crazy comments as a result of the photo going viral. The most significant part about a telephone pole being turned into a cross is that the Jeep’s driver walked away with no injuries — not even a scratch — and feels “lucky” to be alive. Some commentators are making a spiritual connection. Others have plenty of jokes about the Jeep crash.

“He is [okay] — he walked away without a scratch. He said he feels lucky to be alive.”

Next up in the odd news category, as reported by Heavy, is the buzz about a possible UFO spotted over Cape Town, South Africa. As a result, all sorts of photos and tweets are showing up under the #UFOSA hashtag. Some are calling the UFO supposedly spotted over South Africa a fake hoax, saying that the UFO was really a meteor spotted over New Zealand back on February 11, 2015.

Those comparing photos of suspected UFOs over Durban are calling bluff on the claims.

Lastly, in the bizarre news gaining buzz category is the YouTube video titled “LiveLeak – Bizarre accident with vehicle tail left in air by unknown force.” The below video was uploaded to YouTube on November 26, and has grown to nearly one million views.

Showing an accident between several cars whose “cause is still under investigation,” the video appears to show cars running into nothing in the street. Several intrepid viewers have claimed to see a cable that stops the cars in their tracks.

As reported by Heavy, even though the cars seem to float in the air after seemingly crashing into nothing, other viewers have pointed to cable wires as the cause of the weird crash. Of course, that strange video occurrence is gaining just as many funny comments as the Jeep crash that turned a telephone pole into a cross photo.

“I’ll be the first to say it, it was Obama.”

Leave it to a Reddit user to solve the cars crashing into nothing mystery.

“Mystery Solved: A telephone pole was being installed. There was a steel cable that was coiled on the road that (they believed) should have been no problem for cars going over it. The street sweeper truck on the right went over it and wound up the cable in the rotating cleaner. The other end of the cable was attached to the pole on the left of the video. The cable was brought taught and caused all that damage to the trucks and car.
