‘RHOBH’ Star Yolanda Foster Faking Lyme Disease? Lisa Vanderpump Questions Her Illness In Season 6 Preview

The Real Housewives franchise may be headed for another scandal involving a cast member lying about an illness. According to Us Weekly, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump is calling out Yolanda Foster on her alleged battle with Lyme disease.

In a preview clip for a coming episode, Vanderpump questioned the validity of her co-stars claims of having Lyme disease following a conversation with Kyle Richards. “I don’t quite understand what’s wrong with her,” Vanderpump stated. “I don’t know if it is Lyme disease, but I’m not criticizing her. I’m just questioning it.”

What is interesting about Vanderpump’s comments is that Foster has been fighting the disease for several years now. Is it possible that she may have been faking her condition, which creates havoc with the autoimmune system, over the course of a few years?

A somewhat bewildered Vanderpump continued to discuss her doubts about Foster’s disease while having lunch with Richards. “She was having some anesthetic, she had a stem cell transplant – just a lot of stuff,” Vanderpump told her co-star in the clip.

For her part, the disease has certainly seemingly taken a toll on Foster, who even had to excuse herself from the Season 5 reunion episodes in order to deal with her health issues. In the same preview clip, Foster explained to the audience how she was diagnosed with the debilitating disease back in 2012 and how difficult the fight has been ever since.

“You know it’s been a journey. I look quite normal, but yet I’m so sick,” Foster related. “I have weakness in my legs, no brain function — I mean, I haven’t driven a car in three years.”

At the same time, Yolanda Foster is adamant that she has explored a variety of treatment options across the globe. Despite her efforts, Foster has struggled to find something that effectively deals with the disease. “It’s been like trying to uncover a murder mystery,” she stated.

Meanwhile, Vanderpump may not be the only cast member that is questioning Foster’s claims. Apparently, Richards went on to state that there are other ladies on the show who are starting to cast doubt on whether or not Foster actually has the disease. It should be noted that Richards actually has firsthand experience with Lyme disease, as two of her children (Bella and Anwar Hadid) have also been diagnosed with the disease.

In an interview with ET Online, Richards went even further and explained how most of her fellow co-stars are just confused with the kinds of treatment Foster claims to be getting. “I think for a lot of people it’s very confusing,” she told the outlet. “A lot of the things she’s gone through and the treatments she’s done, for some of the cast members they were questioning exactly what she was doing and exactly how sick she was. It was not a good situation.”

Richards added that there were “some things that came up” that caused some of the cast members to doubt Foster’s story. Although she did not go into detail about what these things entail, Richards did promise that fans will find out when the new season of the hit reality show premieres in December.

Of course, this latest controversy over a faked disease comes on the heels of a similar controversy involving cancer on The Real Housewives of Orange County. As many will recall, RHOC star Brooks Ayers has been embroiled in controversy ever since it was revealed that he may have lied about having cancer.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is set to premiere its new season on December 1 on Bravo, check out the dramatic preview for Season 6 below.
