While listing 25 fun facts with Us Weekly, the 44-year-old singer apparently covered quite a few different topics. For instance, she focused on being a mother to her three children as a big topic.
“The best part of being a mom is that I get to grow with my children [Seven, 18, Puma, 11, and Mars, 6]… The funniest thing any of my kids has said was when I moved into my first house. My son, Seven, who was 3, said, ‘What if somebody breaks in on us?’ I said, ‘Don’t worry, I got something to throw at his head.’ And he said, ‘What you gonna do, throw some money at him?’ “
The Bag Lady singer also shared quite a few of her favorite things, as well as her least favorite things, within her surprising list of fun facts. For instance, she admitted that her two favorite albums are from Pink Floyd (The Dark Side of the Moon) and Earth, Wind & Fire (That’s the Way of the World.)
However, she claimed that she does not have a personal favorite from her own collection of songs. Her taste in fashion was definitely highlighted when she reported having 726 head wraps and 7,221 pieces of ankh jewelry — a fact that should surprise many of her longtime fans that are familiar with her stylish wardrobe choices.
Erykah also admitted that she does not have a favorite rapper primarily because the fathers of her children are all rappers: André 3000, West Coast rapper The D.O.C, and Jay Electronica. However, she did share an interesting fact about rapper André 3000 — the father of her firstborn, Seven — by mentioning what she believes is the best thing about him.“The best thing about my ex André 3000 is that his checks never bounce.”
Erykah Badu and André 3000 first became romantically involved back in 1995. They welcomed their first child, Seven Sirius Benjamin, into the world on November 18, 1997.
Nearly two years later, Erykah and Andre reportedly ended their relationship in 1999. There were a lot of rumors and speculation circulating in the news about their breakup and what led to it. André 3000 addressed and squashed those rumors in a song featured on the 2002 Outkast album, Speakerboxx/The Love Below, titled “A Day in the Life of Benjamin Andre.”Andre 3000 and Erykah Badu had a kid? ?

During an October, 2014, interview with Vibe magazine, André 3000 stated that many people misunderstand Erykah’s quips about him in the media. According to Andre, that is how they joke between one another as friends.
“We joke a lot. People just don’t know our personal life. We joke like that on the phone. She calls me her baby daddy and I call her my baby mama. It’s funny to us now because it’s such a talked-down type term. It is what it is. It’s totally a punch line… Our son… tells us, ‘You guys are nuts.’ Erykah and I are cool friends… She’s like a cool sister more than anything… There are always feelings when people grow apart. It’s something you have to get through. But, we are cool.”
In addition to talking about her family and fashion, Erykah Badu also threw a few curveballs into her list of fun facts — including the fact that she “would absolutely run for President.” She also claimed that her least favorite body part is her colon, her biggest phobia is being afraid, and that her “last meal would be toast with margarine.”
