Jonathan And Drew Scott Go Country With ‘Property Brothers At Home On The Ranch’
The newest Property Brothers spinoff finds Jonathan and Drew Scott returning to a place that they both love in the Alberta, Canada, area. Drew and Jonathan will be working with their older brother, JD Scott, over a period of 10 weeks to renovate a close family friend’s Rocky Mountain home. From what Jonathan and Drew told Variety, this was a fun project to work on and involved the entire Scott family.
“A lot of people don’t know this, but we were ranch kids—we grew up corralling horses, herding cattle and working hard on the farm. So we can’t wait to take this trip down memory lane to help out our dear family friends,” said Jonathan. Commenting on the hour-long episodes Drew added, “It’s a family affair — mom, dad and JD are all here to help. And if you thought last season’s reno in Vegas was fun, giddy-up because you ain’t seen nothing yet!”
Fans of the twins will be in for a special treat when the multi-talented Drew and Jonathan perform two country music songs on the show. The Hollywood Reporter shared that Drew and Jonathan Scott traveled to Nashville where they co-wrote Hold On and Let the Night Shine In with songwriters Victoria Shaw and Chad Carlson. There is even some great cover art they produced to showcase their music. For those who don’t want to wait, Jonathan and Drew’s songs are now available for download.

“Music has just always been part of our lives, something we’re passionate about — we grew up on a ranch where most weekend nights ended in us all around the campfire, with our dad playing guitar,” they explained of their new venture in a joint email to THR. “There have been times in our lives where people have told us something just can’t be done, and we’ve become addicted to proving these naysayers wrong.”
For those unfamiliar with the Scott brothers, Jonathan and Drew are an HGTV staple. Together, they are a home improvement force to be reckoned with, but the brothers each have their own areas of expertise. Drew is a real estate expert who is always looking for distressed properties and handles the financial transactions, while Jonathan is a licensed contractor and his specialty is home renovation. With the addition of Property Brothers at Home on the Ranch, they now have five shows on the network including: Property Brothers, Buying and Selling, Property Brothers at Home, and Brother vs. Brother.
The main theme that runs through all of their various shows is that Jonathan and Drew use their expertise to help families find and purchase homes. Then Drew and Jonathan work their magic, turning run-down properties into beautiful homes specifically designed for every family they work with. Jonathan and Drew Scott are able to do all this and more with a strict time frame to complete each project, and a budget that they must work within.
