Anna Duggar, Josh Duggar Divorcing? TLC Star Speaks Out
Rumors are circulating about Anna Duggar and Josh Duggar’s impending divorce. The reality stars have been the center of divorce rumors ever since Josh was caught cheating on his wife on the infidelity website Ashley Madison.
According to Yibada, Anna Duggar hasn’t been visiting Josh at the Reformers Unanimous Rehab Center. Previous reports claimed that Anna has forgiven Josh for his online affairs, but recent reports claim that it’s not true since Anna Duggar and Josh Duggar could be heading to divorce court.
According to Radar Online, the rest of the Duggar family visited Josh at the rehab center earlier this week. They were taken on a private airplane by John David. The report claimed that Anna wasn’t in attendance, causing rumors to swirl that they could be divorcing. Back in August, the Duggars used the same plane to transport Josh to rehab. His latest trip to rehab ended earlier than his assumed six-month program since the center allowed him to leave.
With the recent news that Josh had molested his four sisters and that he cheated with adult film star Danica Dillon, reports claim that Anna Duggar is considering ending her marriage to Josh Duggar. The film star, whose real name is Ashley Stamm-Northup, claims that Josh Duggar “physically assaulted her to the point of causing her physical and emotional injuries.” She says that she met the reality star at a strip club back in March when he paid $600 for a lap dance. He then paid $1,500 for her time at a hotel. Now she’s seeking $500,000 in damages from Josh Duggar.
An alleged insider told Entertainment Tonight that Josh doesn’t feel any remorse for his recent sinful actions.
“He is not the person everyone though they knew,” the insider told the outlet. Josh reportedly even found the news about him molesting his sisters “a joke.”
Another report via the Hollywood Life claims that Jim Bob wants to save his 27-year-old son’s marriage by buying the couple a new house, but Anna has reportedly rejected his offer.
“A big fancy house is not that impressive, and [Anna] says she simply can’t be bought,” the insider said. “Anna has a new sense of self and isn’t going to put on the happy family show just to please her in-laws. She feels like they are more concerned with image than with the reality of the situation.”
While Anna may be standing her ground, she is also considering her other options, including reconciling her already troubled marriage, though she’s not doing it for the sake of their TV family.
“She is considering her options. She’s more concerned with real healing than merely cleaning up the image to make the Duggar in-laws happy and TV-presentable again.”
But of course, divorce is not an option for both Christians and according the Quiverfull movement, not even in cases of abuse or infidelity. Matthew 5:32 reads that adultery should not end what God has joined together. Adultery is not the cause for a divorce, it is the divorce that leads to adultery.
“But I say that everyone who divorces his wife, except on the ground of sexual immorality, causes her to commit adultery, and anyone who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.” (Matthew 5:32)
Anna Duggar is now speaking out for the first time about the Josh Duggar cheating scandal. She was seen touching upon the subject in a new promo for TLC’s new show Jill and Jessa: Counting On. The 24-year-old supportive wife is seen breaking down in the commercial.
For the first time, Anna talks about Josh’s infidelity and porn addiction. “It was heartbreaking to see what happened,” said the 27-year-old as she glances around the room nervously.
But Anna’s sister-in-law, Jessa, is remaining hopeful about their marriage. “We’re getting through.” Even Jill agreed, “We will come out of this fire.”
