Sheree Whitfield Wants Career In Flipping Homes After Chateau Sheree Experience
Sheree Whitfield is back on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and veteran fans were hoping for an update on her home. And surely, thanks to Kenya Moore, they got more than an update. It is no secret that Sheree’s home has been under construction for a long time. Since Whitfield hasn’t been in the spotlight, she hasn’t been able to update fans on what has been going on. But as it turns out, she has struggled financially with the home.
These days, Sheree Whitfield doesn’t really care what other people think of her home, including Kenya Moore. Kenya thought she would add that Sheree’s neighbors had complained about looking at a construction zone for five years, and she pointed out that she would be building her own home in the woods just a few yards down the road.
According to a new Bravo report, Sheree Whitfield is now revealing that she is actually quite happy with the progress of the home. Even though Whitfield has admitted to making mistakes when it comes to building her home, she was surprised that she was being bombarded with information.

“I was totally surprised by that because I didn’t know her, so for her to come off so aggressive and just appear so desperate it totally surprised me,” Sheree told the Daily Dish, adding, “I honestly didn’t keep up with a lot of the seasons when I left, so probably had I kept up, I wouldn’t be surprised. But for her to attack someone she didn’t know, I thought that was… I was caught off-guard and I thought it was uncalled for.”
Luckily, Sheree Whitfield isn’t shy talking about her home and her mistakes. She admits that she may have started a project that was a bit too much for her. As she explains, Sheree didn’t hire a general contractor like many people would have. Instead, she took on much of the work herself, possibly to save money. But despite making mistakes, Whitfield is happy with the progress, and she can herself move in sooner rather than later.
“Construction’s going. You know, I get kind of frustrated. I just kind of prioritize. I put a lot into this house: time, energy, effort. This is just me saying, ‘You know what? I’ve never built a house. I’m gonna do it.’ It was me wanting to do everything on my own,” she explained, adding, “And I did not hire a contractor, a [general contractor], I was the [general contractor]. I made some mistakes, but at the end of the day I’m not upset. I’m happy and I’m happy with the direction it’s going [in]. I love fashion. And with fashion, that’s interior [design], that’s clothing, all of that. So for me to take something and create something major, that’s awesome.”

And Whitfield even dropped a shocker. Even though she has invested money into her own clothing line and her time into producing a television series, Sheree does see herself flipping homes in the future.
“I can see myself in the future kind of rehabing homes. Going to older homes, buying them, gutting them, and creating something beautiful,” she explained.
Sheree Whitfield may need to generate a list of clients before jumping into that business because people may not be eager to work with her if it takes five years to flip a home. In her personal life, Whitfield has suffered from a lack of money from her ex-husband, Bob Whitfield. While Sheree was waiting for spousal and child support from Bob, he managed to spend all of his money and filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy back in 2011. He managed to get out of the $138,000 debt he owed to Sheree, and the court ruled in his favor, according to Reality Tea.
