Jessa Seewald Home Birth Crisis Involved Hospital: Michelle Duggar Called 911 But They Hide Jessa’s Medical Drama?
Jessa Seewald hoped to have an easy home birth, and the upbeat Duggar daughter frequently shared her baby bump bliss on social media throughout her entire pregnancy. But now several sources have revealed that although the 19 Kids family keeps posting upbeat news about the fact that Jessa finally had a baby boy on the Duggar official social media accounts, 23-year-old Seewald actually suffered a dangerous medical crisis.
Although Jessa attempted to have a home birth, complications occurred and she was rushed to the hospital via ambulance, according to TMZ.
Whether she had the baby at home or at the hospital, Jessa is known to have welcomed a baby boy who weighs 9 pounds, 11 ounces, and was more than 21 inches long. The medical emergency may have resulted from the size of the baby.
However, Ben and the Duggar family have not revealed any of the dark details of what happened and are keeping their social media reports and family website baby news thus far cheerful and positive, in line with Jessa’s perky reports as her due date passed.
Michelle Duggar was the one who called 911 to report that her daughter was suffering from heavy bleeding, according to the Daily Mail.
Jessa apparently did have the baby at her home, according to this publication’s report, but then was taken to the hospital after the bleeding occurred.
“Mother is bleeding after birth. We need her to be checked out,” said Michelle in her 911 call.
However, the 49-year-old Duggar matriarch then could not remember how old Jessa is, finally telling the dispatcher that Seewald is 24. However, as the Inquisitr reported, Jessa just turned 23.
Michelle also told the dispatcher that Jessa was awake, alert, and breathing.
“There was quite a bit of blood when the placenta detached, but uterus is hard now,” said Jessa’s mom. “She’s better now, just a lot of blood. She’s talking….Baby is doing wonderful. Baby is great.”
Ben is shown in photos released on social media and their site holding the baby in what appears to be their home, however, rather than a hospital.
“Our sweet baby boy was born last night,” posted Seewald. “He weighed 9 lbs and 11 ounces and is 21 1/4 inches long! He’s precious and both he and Jessa are doing great.”
The baby’s name has not yet been revealed, annoying some fans who questioned whether the family was trying to get more publicity by delaying.
Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar now have two grandchildren from their daughters. Jill Duggar Dillard has a son Israel, who is 6-months-old.
Amid all the contradictory reports, there is some speculation that details are being deliberately withheld by the Duggars, according to Starpulse.
The 911 call, for example, varies in content with Michelle Duggar sounding clinical in terms of describing the health crisis faced by her daughter of heavy bleeding to her confusion over Jessa’s actual age. Then photos have come and gone showing Jessa hospitalized on the family site.
The news that the Seewalds had a baby boy was confirmed by Ben first, with various photos. But thus far, no family announcements have discussed the apparent fact that Jessa was rushed to the hospital. What is the reason?
It is known that TLC is planning to include Jessa’s pregnancy and baby arrival in the new series Jill & Jessa: Counting On. Thus the network may have an agreement that the family will withhold details. Or, alternatively, the Duggars so desire to have the birth be portrayed as a happy home occasion that they’re trying to hide the secret.
On the new Jill & Jessa: Counting On Facebook page, the announcement was kept simple.
“this sweet family of three! ?#?BabySeewald?”
TLC also hyped the news that it would show a family picture.
“Tune in to TLC during the 9PM ET hour to see the first Seewald family photo! ?#?BabySeewald?”
Since then, TLC has placed a variety of photos on its site as part of the promotion for the new Counting On show.
But new daddy Ben Seewald hasn’t hesitated to play the role of proud father. You can see all the baby photos in the virtual baby album he’s created on the Seewald site here, where they’ll also announce the baby’s name.
