Jessa Duggar Seewald On Baby Watch: Celebrates Anniversary With Ice Cream After Year Rocked By Josh Duggar Scandal

For Jessa Duggar Seewald, life has changed in ways she never imagined since she was one of the 19 Kids And Counting cast stars. Now married to Ben Seewald, Jessa has survived a year rocked by scandals as she and Ben await the birth of their very first baby.

But the upbeat Jessa isn’t going to let even her brother Josh Duggar’s recent scandalous confessions (ranging from molesting five underage girls, four of whom were his sisters, to cheating on his wife Anna Duggar with the Ashley Madison website and porn addiction) ruin her first wedding anniversary. With her baby’s due date coinciding with the celebration of her first wedding anniversary, still-pregnant Jessa went for fast food featuring ice cream with gusto, reported Us Weekly.

While Jessa is eating for herself and her unborn baby, Ben had no excuses. But he joined his wife anyway in gobbling up ice cream and French fries.

The 22-year-old reality TV star also paid tribute to Ben. Recalling their wedding day, Jessa remembered the vows she made to her 21-year-old husband.

“Reminiscing and reaffirming these promises to you today, Darling!” wrote Jessa before restating her vows. “Benjamin, today I take you to be my husband, my faithful partner, and my one true Love. Loving you now, and as you grow and develop into all that God intends.”

Saving money for those cute little baby clothes while satisfying her love of treats, Jessa and Ben skipped the traditional upscale, expensive restaurant to fill up on fast food.

“Sometimes, you forget about eating healthy and go for the good stuff. Happy anniversary, Love! @ben_seewald,” wrote the pregnant Duggar daughter.

For Jessa, however, the joy of being pregnant has been dimmed with the awareness that her brother, Josh Duggar, has forever changed the way that many people view the Duggar family. Initially, only Josh, his parents, Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar, a few select outsiders, and some of the 19 Kids And Counting family knew that Josh had molested five underage girls.

But after reports surfaced of his actions, it suddenly become public knowledge, followed by scandal after scandal that stunned the Duggars, pointed out the Hollywood Gossip.

Both Jessa and her sister, Jill Duggar Dillard, chose to step forward and self-identify, saying that they were among the victims of Josh. They were interviewed by Megyn Kelly, shown below.

Duggar himself admitted to the molestation and made a public apology. That shock to have the once-private family secret suddenly public knowledge might seem like enough.

But then came the second shock of the year for Jessa and her family. TLC responded to pressure from the public and the loss of money from fleeing advertisers to cancel 19 Kids And Counting. For Jessa, who had hoped for the same spotlight as her sister, Jill, when her baby was born and throughout her pregnancy, it was a disappointment.

The family gradually began to recover. And then, in August, the hacking of Ashley Madison revealed the third shock for the Duggars. Josh had used the site designed specifically for extramarital affairs and paid for subscriptions for a few years.

Rather than claim it was someone else, Duggar stunned his family by admitting that he had cheated on his wife, Anna Duggar, for the fourth shock for Jessa and her family. Not enough? Josh followed that up by confessing that he was addicted to viewing pornography in the fifth shock for the Duggars.

And although Josh entered a Bible-based treatment center to be “cured” of sex addiction, the shocks for the Duggars weren’t over. Meet Danica Dillon, an exotic dancer and porn star. She provided the sixth stunner for the 19 Kids And Counting clan by sharing that Josh shelled out money for an intimate relationship, in which he was rough.
