Ariana Grande Jokes About Getting A Phone Thrown At Her During iHeartRadio Concert

Ariana Grande is a pro at almost everything she does, and that includes being nearly attacked on stage.

Ariana was in for one heck of a night Friday night considering she not only dropped her new single, “Focus” but also was set to perform it live for the first time during a performance at the iHeartRadio Theater in Burbank, California.

According to E! News, Ariana Grande was in California not only to perform her new single, “Focus;” in fact, she was also there to take part in a live Q&A. While the pop star was being interviewed, a cell phone from the crowd is seen flying through the air and landing onstage. While many would freak out a little bit, or go running off stage, Ariana handled it like a pro.

“Did someone throw a phone at me? Did someone just throw a phone on stage?” she asked with a smile on her face. “That’s so dangerous. What if your screen cracked?”

While the situation could have turned out pretty gnarly, Ariana handled it beautifully. She even got up, went searching for the phone and attempted to return it to whomever it belonged to.

“Whose is this? Is this yours? Be careful. Take your phone back!”

It wasn’t long before the incident ended up all over social media. Both videos and photographs of the incident flooded sites such as Facebook and Twitter, with one fan in the audience even claiming that it was the girl right next to her who threw the phone onstage.

While a fan throwing their phone onstage may have been pretty crazy news, it wasn’t the highlight of the day for Ariana. According to an earlier report by the Inquisitr, Ariana dropped not only the new single, “Focus,” but she also dropped the music video, as well.

The 22-year-old singer took to Twitter on Thursday evening to announce the arrival of her new single, only hours ahead of its October 30 release date.

Ariana has been teasing the above photo for a few days now, and fans were left wondering why Ariana decided to go with platinum-colored hair. The new look had fans wondering just what the pop star had up her sleeves, but it wasn’t long until Ariana decided to spill the beans about the flirty video that accompanied her new single.

According to an earlier report by the Inquisitr, Ariana took to YouTube to explain a little bit of her new video to her fans.

The video starts with Ariana explaining that she feels she came into this world not only to entertain, but to love, to share, to listen, to improve and to do so much more. She says that she uses her voice to not only make people feel empowered, but to make them feel like they are not alone in this world.

“When I say focus on me, I’m not asking to be the center of attention. I’m not asking you to focus on my clothes, my face or my body. When I say focus on me, I literally mean focus on me and what I’m all about and what I believe in. The more we focus on each other as people, and not what we look like, not what we are wearing, our gender, our hairstyle, or sexuality, the color of our skin, but focus on each other on a soul level, the more we realize we have in common.”

It seems as if Ariana’s new single is more than just a flirty, fun tune, but another song meant to help empower her fans.
