Miranda Simms Has Strict Rules For ‘Teen Mom 2’ Leah Messer After Her Affair With Corey

Just two months into Miranda Simms’ marriage to Corey, the Teen Mom 2 star engaged in an affair with Leah Messer, the mother of his twin girls, Ali and Aleeah. Understandably so, Miranda Simms was completely heartbroken by the betrayal, but luckily, the two were able to work through their issues, and decided to remain married.

Following their August 2013 affair, Miranda Simms and her husband continued to film Teen Mom 2, failing to acknowledge the shocking turn of events, and also filming were Messer and her second husband, Jeremy Calvert, whom she was married to during her affair with Simms. Messer and Calvert also didn’t speak of the affair, and at this point, it isn’t yet known whether or not Calvert knew of his former wife’s betrayal prior to her interview with Us Weekly earlier this week. He did, however, claim she cheated on him with Robbie Kidd in 2014, leading him to file for divorce in November of that same year.

While Messer’s second marriage ended in divorce, Corey and Miranda Simms’ relationship is now thriving, and in just a couple of months, they will welcome their first child together, a daughter named Remi. They’ve also recently gained primary custody of Corey’s twins with Messer after months of accusing her of hiding a drug problem. But their issues with Messer are far from over, and according to the mother of three, Miranda Simms has put strict rules in place for her interaction with Corey.

On October 29, OK! Magazine revealed details from Messer’s recent interview with Us Weekly, in which she revealed Miranda Simms’ alleged rules.

“I’m not allowed to call Corey’s phone to communicate with the girls unless [Miranda Simms]’s somehow three-wayed in. He has to be around [Miranda Simms] when he calls.”

Although Miranda Simms may not feel comfortable with Messer having private contact with her husband, it does seem a bit odd to think he is restricted from communicating with her — even when it is in regard to their children.

According to Messer, Miranda Simms’ rules were put in place due to her wanting her out of Corey’s life.

“[Miranda Simms] doesn’t want me in the picture. [Miranda Simms] wants to hurt me because she thinks that Corey and I still have something for each other.”

While it may appear that way to some, Messer said she “couldn’t care less” about Miranda Simms’ relationship with Corey, and even alleged that she wanted them to be happy. Still, she is upset about their custody filing and feels she should have a bigger role in her daughter’s life — despite the struggles fans saw her go through during the sixth season of Teen Mom 2.

“I feel like they should have both of us in their lives. He’s a really good father – about as solid as you can get. I really and truly feel like I’m the best mom that I can possibly be.”

Messer then claimed her daughter Aleeah is “miserable” living with Miranda Simms and her father, and has even threatened to run away from home.

As Messer continues to be vocal about her custody battle and ongoing feud with Corey, Miranda Simms and her husband have taken a backseat to the drama, choosing to steer clear of social media and interviews as they prepare to welcome their first child.
