Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton Get Flirty With ‘Hotline Bling’: Country Crooner Dreads Miranda Lambert Reunion

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton seem to have more in common than serving as coaches on The Voice. Both Gwen and Blake recently survived divorces, with Stefani just finishing finalizing her divorce to Gavin Rossdale, as the Inquisitr reported.

Now that Shelton has achieved enough healing from his split with Miranda Lambert, Blake and Gwen are ready to have some flirty fun. Stefani and Shelton even have their own romance song in “Hotline Bling,” reported UPI.

Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Blake and Gwen crooned together and turned Drake’s popular tune into their own sexy song.

It was part of Fallon’s game called “Spin the Microphone.” Thirty-nine-year-old Shelton seemed to be more fond of the title of the song than in touch with the lyrics, but, fortunately, 46-year-old Stefani had no problems with belting out her bling.

Gwen and Blake were joined by Adam Levine and Pharrell Williams, who also serve as coaches on The Voice. Shelton yodeled his way through “YMCA,” and Adam went for “Oops!…I Did It Again.” In addition, Jimmy used his own singing power to duet with Pharrell for a rendition of “It Takes Two.”

But what about all those rumors that behind those big red chairs on The Voice, Stefani and Blake are secretly dating now that each has completed divorcing their spouses?

“The stuff I read about myself blows my mind,” mused Shelton on social media at one point.

While trying to rope in those rumors that he’s dating Gwen, Blake just unveiled a new album on October 23 entitled Reloaded: 20 #1 Hits.

As for Gwen, Stefani also recently shared a poignant music video. It’s for her new “Used to Love You” single.

The pop singer was quick to respond to rumors that she wrote “Used To Love You” about the wreckage of her romance with Gavin Rossdale. The topic arose when Gwen joined Pharrell, Adam, and Blake on the Today show and the conversation suddenly shifted from The Voice to Matt Lauer’s analysis of her breakup from Stefani.

Matt asked Gwen to discuss the parallel, if any, between her divorce from Rossdale and her latest song, reported E! News.

“Your personal life has been in the headlines. Are fans misinterpreting something here or is it all right there in front of us in terms of the song?” questioned Matt.

“What I’ll say about that is that I’ve never put a record out where I’m actually going through things in real time,” clarified Gwen. “I wrote that song like a couple weeks ago, and then I sat in front of a camera in a dressing room randomly not making a video, just to do some video for the screens behind me, and then it went out and it’s the video and it’s like all very real.”

Stefani expressed her appreciation for the positive feedback that she received following the release of her video.

“It’s just nice to do music and have that support… I feel their energy and their love coming back at me and that’s really comforting,” added Gwen.

Stefani and Rossdale ended their 13-year marriage in August and in a statement emphasized their desire to focus on raising their three sons who range in age from 1-year-old Apollo to Zuma, who is 6, and Kingston, 9.

“While the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment.”

And while Blake and Miranda issued a similar statement after their divorce, Shelton admits that now he’s scheduled to reunite with Lambert, he’s apprehensive, reported She Knows.

Chatting with Seth Meyers on The Late Show, Blake revealed that he dreads the CMA gala during which he and Miranda will reunite. Would friends mock their pals? Oh yes, claims Shelton.

“This year’s gonna be awkward at the CMAs, speaking of jokes, because we are, it’s such a family,” predicted Blake. “Everybody there is friends.”

And although Seth opined that his friends wouldn’t be so cruel, Shelton proved that he’s not so optimistic.

“There’s gotta be [a joke] about me and Miranda. [Host] Brad Paisley is not doing his job if he doesn’t look down there and go, ‘Ha ha!’ You have to address the elephant in the room. We’ve had the conversations like, ‘Okay, dude. I’ll sit there and let you kick me in the face a few times.’ I know it’s coming.”
