Corey Simms Only Wanted Custody For Child Support, Leah Messer Claims
Corey Simms is certainly thrilled these days, as a judge gave him primary custody of Ali and Aleeah. The judgment came down earlier this month, and Corey had always said that he just wanted the girls to live a more stable life. They were often late for school, and Ali was missing some important therapy classes for her muscular dystrophy. Simms decided to step in so he could give his daughter the care she deserved.
And while Corey Simms may have had honorable intentions with his court visit, it sounds like Leah Messer doesn’t quite see it that way. Leah has trouble admitting when she could use some help, and this has resulted in many disappointing parties. Miranda is disappointed in Leah’s lack of desire to talk things out, Corey is disappointed in his lack of action, and Leah is disappointed that Simms would take her to court.
According to a new Radar Online report, Corey Simms has now gotten primary custody of Ali and Aleeah, and Leah Messer is furious. While Simms wanted more time with his girls, he also wanted to make sure that they got to school on time, and he wanted to make sure that Ali went to her therapy sessions to deal with her muscular dystrophy. But Leah thinks that Corey only wanted custody for monetary reasons.

“I think child support has a lot to do with [his motivations],” Leah reveals to Us Weekly in a shocking interview, adding that he may have pursued custody so he doesn’t have to pay child support.
When the twins were in her care, he was paying her around $800 per month. Now, Corey is the primary custodian of the girls, which means he may ask Leah for child support. It is possible that he could take her to court to get money from her, which may be troublesome for her. Messer hasn’t worked and has spent her time at home as a stay-at-home mother.
Leah is also claiming that the girls are miserable at Corey Simms‘ home. Apparently, the girls tell their mother that they are miserable living with Corey and that Aleeah has talked about running away. As Messer explains, she wants to break free, and she strongly believes that the girls want to run away because they miss their mother.

“It was like a slap in the face,” Leah previously told Us Weekly after learning that her ex-husband, Corey Simms, would be getting primary custody of Ali and Aleeah.
The twins would now be living with Simms rather than herself, and she would only have them on the weekends. He would have them Monday through Friday, so he could make sure that the girls would get to school on time. There have been plenty of drug rumors and the Teen Mom star even went to rehab to deal with her anxiety. But apparently, the issues run much deeper, as she wasn’t even getting the girls to school. And this upset Corey Simms to the core.
“Leah just wasn’t getting them to school,” explains a source, adding, “They were missing and they were tardy.”
“I feel like they should have both of us in their lives,” the Teen Mom star has said, adding, “At the end of the day, my kids are going to be happy, and I don’t care what I have to do to make them happy.”
Messer has revealed that she is fighting to get more time with her girls, but it sounds like a judge is siding with Corey in this case. Depending on how he does with the girls, Simms may win more time with his girls.
What do you think of Corey Simms pursuing custody? Do you think he only did it for child support as Leah Messer claims?
