Katy Perry Reportedly Enraged At Russel Brand’s Unfair Portrayal Of Her In His New Documentary [Video]

Singer and entertainer extraordinaire Katy Perry’s short marriage to ex-husband Russel Brand continues to haunt her. His latest project, a documentary that encompasses many events in his life, including his relationship with Katy Perry, has angered the singer to no end.

According to an unnamed source who spoke with Hollywood Life, Katy Perry is beside herself with anger over the petty way he portrays her in the documentary, Brand: A Second Coming.

“Katy is absolutely livid with Russell’s documentary Brand: A Second Coming. She’s obviously deeply upset that Russell still feels the need to air their dirty laundry in public. In her eyes the talk about their marriage split wasn’t necessary. But she also thinks Russell is using her, and the split, to generate more publicity for himself and paint himself as the good guy in this situation.”

Certainly the wildly popular status that Katy Perry enjoys could only help fuel interest in her ex-husband’s film. Unfortunately for Katy, the project opens old wounds that are best left in the past. Whether Katy Perry is over her brief marriage or not, it cannot be comfortable to have her personal life displayed for all to see, especially when she has no control over the content of the film.

“And what makes it worse is the conversations in the doc that show Russell telling his close pals that he never thought the marriage would work anyway! Katy thinks his actions are heartless, and she just wishes he would let it go and stop using it for his own benefit.”

According to the Daily Mail, not only does Brand tell his friend, Stephen Merchant, that he doesn’t believe the marriage to Katy Perry would last, he also hears the same news from his comrade, Noel Gallagher, in the documentary.

As if that is not bad enough, the particular way Russell chose to tell Katy he was filing for divorce must have been a huge blow to the superstar. A simple text, generally harmless, spelled out the end of Brand’s marriage to Katy Perry.

The Mirror reports that Katy’s ex-husband was very unhappy in the life of a top celebrity.

“I’m associated with the very thing that I detest: vapid, vacuous, plastic, constructed, mindless celebrity. That’s the very sea we’re swimming in… ‘Oh, who’s he? He’s married to Katy Perry.'”

One might wonder if the attack on Katy Perry is more due to Brand’s jealousy of Katy’s wild popularity, rather than a distaste for it.

In the following video clip, Katy Perry discusses the depression she went through after the break with Brand. The singer says the songs she writes tells about who she is. While putting her emotions out there for the whole world to hear might be frightening and a bit uncomfortable, Katy Perry states that she hopes her songs help other people who are going through the same thing.

“I wanted to share that side of my story because I know that there are so many other people out there that have gone through things like that, and they always – you always feel like you’re the only one going through that… “Then comes along a song that speaks to you, that makes you feel like, ‘Gosh, I can get through this. If she can get through this, I can get through this.'”
