UFO Blogger ‘Discovers’ Flowing Water On Mars — Curiosity Rover Photo ‘Shows’ Dark Streaks of Flowing Liquid Water In Gale Crater [Photo]
An online UFO blogger has claimed “discovery” of liquid water flowing on the planet Mars in a photo of the Martian surface captured by NASA’s Curiosity rover.
The photo, sourced from NASA’s JPL website, was taken by Curiosity rover on Sol 707 or February 8, 2014, at 12:52:11 UTC.
According to UFO Sightings Daily editor Scott Waring, the photo shows a dark streak indicative of liquid water running from below rocks on the Martian surface.
The location is a small clump of rocks on a small mound in the Gale Crater region of Mars, where NASA landed Curiosity rover at 05:32 UTC on August 6, 2012.
The evidence for water, according to Waring, is the dark streak shown in the photo. The dark streak is indicative of wetness that contrasts with the light colored dry sand around.
“You can see the wetness and the different color of soil compared to that around it. There is no doubt that it is water.”
Although NASA has never announced discovery of flowing liquid water in the Gale Crater area by the Curiosity rover, the agency announced recently that dark streaks on the Martian surface in the Hale Crater region far away from the Gale Crater could be evidence of intermittent liquid water flows.
In a statement published on September 28, 2015, NASA announced that Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) found evidence of hydrated minerals associated with dark streaks on slopes in the Hale Crater region.
Darkening of the streaks during warmer seasons suggested intermittent flows, according to NASA scientists.
“We found the hydrated salts only when the seasonal features were widest, which suggests that either the dark streaks themselves or a process that forms them is the source of the hydration. In either case, the detection of hydrated salts on these slopes means that water plays a vital role in the formation of these streaks.”
The YouTube video animation below is a JPL simulation of the darks streaks advancing down slopes during warmer seasons. The dark streaks, according to NASA scientists, appear to represent seasonal flows of liquid water on the Red Planet.
Waring claims that NASA had planned to keep MRO’s discovery of evidence of flowing liquid water on Mars secret, but vigilant online UFO and Mars anomaly bloggers forced the agency to disclose its latest discovery.
Waring alleges that NASA is still trying to cover-up news that Curiosity rover has photographed flowing liquid water in the Gale Crater. But apparently, the agency inadvertently released this piece of photographic evidence. And thanks to Waring, the discovery is no more a secret.
“This photo is proof that water exists in many places close to the rover… say 1-2 meters away [on Gale Crater]…”
Waring concludes that there must be sufficiently large flows of liquid water on Mars to sustain large populations of tiny Martians that Mars anomaly hunters claim they have found in Curiosity and Opportunity rover photos of the Martian surface.
Mars anomaly hunters announced, in July, the discovery of a partly-cloaked alien woman about 8-10 cm tall on the Martian surface.
Online UFOlogists and Mars anomaly hunters also announced, in August, the discovery of a star destroyer spaceship on Mars. Waring noted at the time that the spaceship was only about 2-3 meters long, and thus only large enough to carry 20-40 mini-sized aliens about 5-8 cm tall.
Large flows of liquid water on Mars also explain the profusion of archaeological remains and related evidence of civilization on the Red Planet, according to Waring.
