Vicki Gunvalson, ‘Real Housewives’ Star, Defends Brooks Ayers & Shannon Beador Betrayal: ‘RHOC’ Reunion Sneak Peek
Vicki Gunvalson, known as the OG (Old Gal) of the Real Housewives Of Orange County (RHOC) cast, spent Season 10 in a funk. As her ex-boyfriend Brooks Ayers joined Vicki in fending off doubts from Shannon Beador, Tamra Judge, Heather Dubrow, Meghan King Edmonds, and even Gunvalson’s own daughter, Briana, Gunvalson now is opening up about the cancer controversy.
Reflecting on what happened over the season, Vicki blogged about some of the sharpest accusations she faced from former RHOC friends, reported Us Weekly.
Gunvalson is adamant about two issues. She still feels that her former boyfriend Brooks was not pretending to have cancer. Vicki also denies that she gossiped unfairly about Shannon’s marriage problems with husband David Beador.
“My stance is I do not believe he faked cancer, as there are way too many people involved, way too many doctor visits and way too many doctor reports which would be very difficult to falsify,” insisted Gunvalson.
Vicki also gave a hint of what will happen at the reunion, revealing that she lacks sufficient data to prove that he has cancer, but she also doesn’t have proof that he doesn’t have cancer.
Gunvalson and Brooks were together for four years before splitting in August, and Vicki admits that the drama that followed made it even more challenging for her.
“I didn’t handle things always in the calmest manner which I am sorry for that, but I was extremely frustrated having to always be questioned about him,” admitted Gunvalson.
But Vicki also is feeling upset about the reaction from Shannon at the baptism party for Tamra Judge in the Real Housewives Of Orange County season closing episode. As the Inquisitr reported, the RHOC Finale included an angry scene between Beador and Gunvalson, where Shannon accused Vicki of betraying her by discussing intimate details of David Beador’s affair.
“I never betrayed her, she was just embarrassed that it was exposed again when it was supposed to be about badgering me,” insisted Vicki.
Gunvalson claims that she felt Shannon made the choice to be open about the affair. Therefore, since Vicki felt that the entire RHOC cast knew about Beador’s marriage problems, it was fine for her to tell her brother. Gunvalson then flipped the switch on the blame game by blaming Tamra Judge for revealing Shannon’s affair.
“Tamra actually told the group about David’s affair at a dinner we were all at, and even disclosed the woman’s name and information about her,” insisted Vicki.
Therefore, Gunvalson concluded that Shannon was aware Heather Dubrow, Tamra, and others were aware of David’s affair, and therefore she had the right to tell her brother about it. However, Vicki did issue one apology, and that was to Terry and Heather Dubrow for bringing them into the brouhaha.
But it still comes down to the question of whether Gunvalson told any lies about Brooks Ayers’ cancer claims. At the Real Housewives Of Orange County reunion, Vicki will discuss the answer to that puzzler, reported the Daily Dish.
The reunion will debut Monday, October 19, and Andy Cohen has summarized it as the “most adult” in Real Housewives history. From the topic of Shannon and her marriage crisis to Vicki’s ex-boyfriend’s cancer claims, the reunion will tackle the hot button subjects of Season 10.
“He’s not sick,” opines Heather Dubrow bluntly at one point. “We’re all agreeing on this. The only question is, when did you find out?”
And Vicki will confess that she may have not exactly been the most candid about all the details.
“I didn’t lie about anything. Well, maybe a couple lies,” admits Gunvalson.
But were the lies about Brooks’ cancer or the cause of their breakup? Will you watch for the answers on the RHOC reunion Monday at 9 p.m./8 p.m. Central? Post your views below on Vicki’s controversial claims about Ayers.
