Target Department Store Jobs Might Be On The Line — Store Blasts Porn Over Intercom During Open Hours

One Target department store in California might be getting ready to hire some new crew members after a mother of twins captures pornographic audio playing over the building’s intercom system — during store hours.

According to Fox-4 News, Gina Bond Young was in the Campbell-California store during Target hours on October 14, 2015. While shopping with her children, suddenly, a blast of pornographic audio came streaming from the speakers. The customers were befuddled, to say the least. The woman, in the recording, asked, “What… is going on at Target right now?”

As staff members scrambled to find the source of the disturbance, Target customers had to endure the sounds of sexual intercourse during their shopping experience — mind you, there were children present, as this again was during regular business hours. While frantically trying to stop the audio and prevent an uproar of sorts, employees were checking several phones, often picking them up and placing them back on the base.

According to Gina’s YouTube page, she says that it worked for a little while. However, after two minutes or so, it would only resume again.

According to Gina, some angry, embarrassed, and discomforted customers simply threw down their merchandise and walked out. Some of the customers even became irate with the staff as they were trying to solve the X-rated issue. Bond also mentioned that people offered to help her tend to her twins. Of course, only having two hands, she could only handle one child, while the other was forced to listen. On her YouTube page, she notes as follows.

“Parents were covering there kids ears and offering to help me cover my twins ears. From the time it started to the time I left it was 15 min. When I was walking out the doors I could still hear porn. It was dirty too, very explicit foul language. I can never look at Target the same again.”

Via Gina Young’s Instagram post, she also noted as follows.

“#Target nice business practice. Porn blasting through the store this morning in Campbell and they couldn’t figure out how to turn it off nice. My 3 year old twins asked ‘is she hurt’. Terribly awkward…

…This is not safe for work let alone all the small children in the store. People were up in arms.”

Below are parts of the video she recorded. During its playback, you can hear the sounds of the audio clear as a cloudless day. Kids are crying as they are forced to listen to the adult content.

The original video on YouTube has over 35,000 views and is climbing rapidly. Unfortunately, its embed capability was disabled by request. Also, its comment section was disabled.

However, this seems to be something that’s been happening around the Target store chain — at least in California. Maybe Target is being targeted? Three weeks ago, another YouTube uploader, Stephanie Gamez, uploaded a video of a similar occurrence. Yet, this time, it was in Tulare, California — nearly 200 miles away from the most-recent episode of Target’s blasts.

As of yet, there have been no official press releases made by the consumer-reputable department store. However, the brand did update its Facebook page with some ironic typography: “Take pride in what you stand for…” You can see it in the Facebook post below.

And as you might have guessed, customers aren’t having any of it and are firing back at the department store giant in its post comments. And they are having no mercy. Many find it ironic that the company hasn’t addressed the situation but is willing to post about a topic of which it’s not-at-the-moment showing any interest or concerns.
