Leah Messer Claims Miranda Simms Is Fake During ‘Teen Mom 2: Unseen Moments,’ Acts Different When Cameras Are Around
Leah Messer remains at odds with Corey Simms and his wife, Miranda. Following an intense Season 6 of Teen Mom 2, which featured the Simms accusing Leah Messer of hiding a drug problem, Leah Messer sat down with host Nessa for the Teen Mom 2: Unseen Moments special, which aired on Wednesday night, October 14.

According to an October 15 report by Wetpaint Entertainment, Leah Messer slammed Miranda during the special, claiming she acts different when Teen Mom 2 cameras are rolling.
“Her whole demeanor changes. When there’s no cameras, she usually sits in the truck with her arms crossed, that’s just how she is. When MTV is there, she gets out of the truck, ‘oh hey girls,’ and I’m like, ‘where is this coming from? Just because cameras are here?’ That’s how it is.”
In a separate report, via Us Weekly, Leah Messer explained why her second husband, Jeremy Calvert, didn’t help out with her duties around the house.
“He always just stands there. It’s the women’s job to take care of the house… That’s okay. I believe that to a certain extent.”
During Teen Mom 2 Season 6, Leah Messer was often seen appearing to be overloaded with her duties with both her three children, 5-year-old twins Ali and Aleeah, and 2-year-old Adalynn, and with her home. In one scene, Leah Messer’s three children were seen struggling to sit comfortably and safely in her vehicle due to their being a bevy of belongings strewn about. Leah Messer was seen in another questionable scene later in the season, which featured her arriving home late at night with her girls, who had school in the morning, and feeding them dinner after 11 p.m., and putting them to bed at midnight.
Leah Messer’s parenting abilities were questioned all season long by both the Simms and by fans online, and her skills were only further doubted by Leah Messer’s out-of-it behavior, which seemed to hint at drug use, at least by many accounts. At one point, Leah Messer was seen visiting with her brother and his new baby, and while holding the baby, Leah Messer appeared to be nodding out, nearly dropping the baby before someone stepped in and took the child from her.

While Leah Messer has denied having a drug problem on multiple occasions, she entered a 30-day treatment program during filming, and during the reunion special, Dr. Drew Pinsky, who hosted the show, confirmed to Simms and members of the audience that there was a certain issue she had refused to discuss. Still, Simms and his wife remain convinced, and in August, he took to Twitter, where he explained why he and Miranda felt so strongly about Leah Messer’s possible addiction to drugs.
“There is a reason for everything that Miranda and myself have said or done. We simply want the girls to grow up in a safe and healthy environment. There is a lot of things that has been told to us by very close members of her family that lead us to believe the things being told are very much true. If we didn’t care about the girls or the situation we would obviously not have anything to say or do about it.”
No word yet on whether or not Leah Messer and the cast of Teen Mom 2, including Chelsea Houska, Jenelle Evans, and Kailyn Lowry, will return for a seventh season on MTV next year. There have, however, been reports claiming they are already in production.
